GPS Power Adapter

Does anyone know of a way to power up a console mounted GPS inside your house? Is there a 110v adapter that would allow this to be possible?

I'm wanting to take my GPS in my house to input data but can't seem to find anything on the internet about this. Just seeing if anyone here knows a fix. Preciate dat.

yeah......go to radio shack and buy a 12 vdc power supply. Just make sure you buy one that can deliver enough amperage. then cut the end off and hook positive to positive then negative to negative. Voila

or just bring one of your boat batteries inside.

Power Supply

I have a humminbird 997 side finder. I bought an extra power supply cord, and tied it into a cigerette power adaptor. It has an internal 3 amp fuse. I also put an inline 3 amp fuse. I have a jump box, that I use to jump dead batteries. It also has a cigerette adaptor power supply. Just plug it in, and turn on the gps , or depth finder . What ever you do put an inline fuse to protect your device. hope this helps.

A 110 volt to 12 volt converter is great for all kind of applications. We use it to power a VHF marine radio in our Falgout Canal camp and test other equipment before bringing it out to the boats. It's nice getting fishing reports and weather before walking outside!

Most of the time, the GPS will not pick up satallites inside. But not all the time.
