I got one a few years ago......pissed me off too bro......its a freedom thing to me.....I have auto and health insurance, the taxpayers wont have to pay for me I wreck, i pay my own way......leave me alone.....

Problem is, you get in a wreck and fly through your windshield, there's nobody left in your truck to stop it from hitting the kids standing at the bus stop up the street. Personal responsibility means wearing your seatbelt so you can remain in control. That way your surviving family doesn't lose every penny they have in the lawsuit that follows your death. The law isn't to protect you, it's to protect everyone else on the road. That's why they don't require seatbelts or helmets on motorcycles. You're only going to kill your own dumb *** on a bike.

i would have to say if you fly through the windshield its because the truck already came to a stop (faster than it was suppose to). I am against this law and will be till i die. this is no different than a gun law. guns kill people so lets ban them. this is how i feel should be my choice whether i were this or not it does not effect anyone else but me. now kids can not make up there own mind so they should be in a car seat or buckled up and if not parents ticketed. just my 2 cents

but on another note, you got lucky once on going through the windshield, prolly won't happen again. Seat belt wearing is a no brainer. I have seen it personally way too many times. A simple lil wreck turns into a life threatening ordeal because they weren't wearing a seatbelt. A local wreck a few years back, an suv just had a simple rollover and the guy would've been fine but instead he's 6 feet under right now cuz he went out the window and the vehicle rolled on top of him.

Come on W, you ain't in high school no more. There's more to you that makes you the cool kid in town than not wearing your seatbelt.
And for all you high schoolers out there, that doesn't make you the cool kid anymore. That was back in the day when smoking was cool.(no offense to any of you smokers, its just not cool to smoke anymore like it was 20 years ago)

What if you're driving 70 down the freeway and someone just lightly sideswipes you on your right side, sending you into the passenger seat? How many people will you kill by not wearing your seatbelt? I've seen this exact situation happen...just pure stupidity. Go volunteer at the VFD and ride on an ambulance for a few days and you'll start wearing your seatbelt, I assure you. There's nothing worse than having to pick up someone's head 50 feet from their body because they weren't wearing a seatbelt...except maybe for having to inform their next of kin that they died in an accident that shouldn't have caused more than a few bumps and bruises. :rolleyes:
