Any one know of someone in the East? In Plac.
|
Ascension parish councilman Kent Shexnayder......family being doing this kind of work for two generations. He has been in Grand Isle for a while now.....not sure how to reach him other than 411.....Gonzales area.
|
What kind of piles you looking at putting? I may be able to hook you up.
|
Thanks for the responsses, should have clarified, the location is Deatonville on Big Lake. Figure it will need treated creosote pilings
but will need surveyor to shoot elevation to detremine how long. |
Creosote pilings are not necessarily needed. Take a look at some of the other camps/homes in the area, they are built treated or cement pilings.

Not possible. |

Why? |
Quote:
Because, cement is a binder used to make concrete, you can have a concrete pile, but there is no such thing as a cement pile. |

Wrong choice of words on my part. This was my line of thinking on the original post but used the wrong word. Thanks. |

It took one day to lift, put together and anchor down to the pilings and braces.

We know what work is. We sat around all day and watched it.
|
How you get in it?
|
Ladder, until the porches and stairs were built.
We were there to hook up the a/c. |
again....how much does something like that usually cost? The pilings and lifting of a home?
|
That one cost her around $48K to do it all. Drill and set the pilings, brace, pour cement slab, lift, put together the trailer, anchor it down and hook up water, sewer and elect.
|
Ray.....after the second 1/2 was put in place, how did they close the small cap between the two halves of the trailer?
Were there a bunch of plates welded underneath the frame to put big bolts through them? And then just tighten the bolts to bring the two halves together? |
Looks like the unit just south of the old Gaspards on the Creole Hwy.
|
Looks pretty cool
