LaAngler 02-11-2010 12:16 PM

basically no point in stocking up on the mirrolure ones, they aren't collectors items.

specktator 02-11-2010 12:20 PM

i paid 93.50 with shipping for 3 originals and 5 devils from johnny's

LaAngler 02-11-2010 12:23 PM

Montauk17 02-11-2010 01:51 PM

Corkys will geaux down in value next month when I kick Bruce's azz with my Bombers. As cmdrost said, this is becoming comical. You can buy 15 Bombers for the price of 3 Corkys?

Salty the only thing you ever kicked on Big Lake was them Dink trout off the front of the boat:D

cmdrost 02-11-2010 04:16 PM

I agree they will go down in value. The mirrolure is the exact same. So those selling originals for extreme profit.....I mean those buying originals at etreme prices are crazy!

Ray 02-11-2010 04:24 PM

I saw the Corkys at Academy in Lake Charles a little while ago.
But all they had was pink ones. Not the jointed ones or the ones with the tails either.
Just the plain looking ones.

cmdrost 02-11-2010 04:48 PM

jointed ones are not corkies. They are rubberbacks.

Tails are devils.

LaAngler 02-11-2010 04:55 PM

the jointed ones are corkys i got just 50 oh my gawd

:rotfl:

Ray 02-11-2010 04:57 PM

While I was shopping for some really small spoons with a regular hook, not a trebble hook,
some guy was standing right in front of the Corkys. He asked the girl if they had any and
they both looked around for them. She said she couldn't find them so they must be out.
I said, "these are Corky's"
The guy said, "It don't say Corky on the package".
I said "But they are Corky's".
He said "But it says Paul Brown Original"(or something like that).
I said "He was the manufacturer of them but sold to Mirrolure".
He looked on the back it said Made in Costa Rica.
He said "I know Corky's and these are not Corky's, they are not made in Texas".
I said, "Well then, they must not be Corky's".
Then the girl came back and opened a box with the exact same thing in it and said
"These are Corky's".
He said "Those are not Corky's".
I found my spoons and got the heck outta there.

I agree. People are going to buy them thinking they produce #'s like a sand eel would. They are going to be disappointed!

Ray 02-11-2010 05:03 PM

THere is really not many people looking in the fishing section.
They are all still buying Saints stuff right now.
There might have been 2 people in the fishing section, besides
me and Mr. Corky.

I think Bombers are pretty dang good myself.
Speaking of that, I got one today that is made in China.
I thought they was made in Arkansas?

southern151 02-11-2010 05:06 PM
