Snow is falling!

Well for the 4th time this year the snow is falling. Weather people are saying 4 to 6 inches and possibly 8 inches in certain areas. Wow, what is going on with this Green house thing. It's so hot I guess it's pulling the cold out of everything and freezing it up.lolol:rotfl::rotfl:

Dink 02-11-2010 11:50 AM

I've had sleet falling here all morning

QUACKHEAD 02-11-2010 12:00 PM

Yea, sleet was falling pretty hard at 6:00 AM when I left for work. At work now, but am getting ready to leave and head back home before the roads close up here.

jpeff31787 02-11-2010 06:24 PM

well enjoy it, cuz we might not see it next year because of "Global Warming" lol

southern151 02-11-2010 06:42 PM

On behalf of my collision center...Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!!:*****::*****::*****:

In all seriousness, please be safe out there. I can fix your car. I cannot fix you. Please drive with caution and courtesy because this snow is a huge distraction to most drivers.

Ray 02-11-2010 07:19 PM

Good weather will start Tuesday morning, while I am flying offshore for 2 weeks.

QUACKHEAD 02-12-2010 03:31 PM

Woke up this morning and no power. Snow everywhere outside. Got a fire in the fireplace and generator going so I still had my coffee. They say it may be as late as tomorrow at 10 pm before we get it back. Gotta love living in the country. But, we have tv computer and fire, what else does a man really need.

longsidelandry 02-12-2010 03:33 PM

adamsfence 02-12-2010 03:38 PM

sorry for such a late responce, but we got about 7 inches here. We still have adout 2 inches on the ground. A lot melted but it's still covering most places. Suppose to get down in the upper 20's tonight. I Hope we get electric soon, the generator loves gas, and OPEC loves money.

adamsfence 02-12-2010 11:00 PM

quack yall aint got no power. that sucks. hollar at me if yall need some heat i ain't that far

QUACKHEAD 02-12-2010 11:10 PM

Thanks Adam, got the fire place going and propane heater. I cut it all off when I go to bed but sweetie keeps me warm then. The morning is the hard part, cause I gotta get everything goin before she will move. Being so far from civilization, we lose our power three or four times a year for a day or two. The generator stays next to the house in the ready position. Thanks again for the offer of help though.

Gerald 02-12-2010 11:20 PM

Back after Rita........lots of people found out that buying a generator.....was cheep.

It is keeping the gas tank full that cost money.

I wired in a remote start on the generator we use in our hunting shack...It sure does make the mornings easier. Lay in bed and push a button. Stay warm Quack....

Dink 02-13-2010 12:08 AM

After Gustav my neighbor left his Gen out front running his AC while he slept........woke up sweating, could still hear Gen outside..........figures the AC broke........he went outside to turn it off and found an old lawnmower running.......no generator.......someone "traded" him........smart thief!!!!! The sound of a loud Gen shutting off would wake me up too!!!

QUACKHEAD 02-13-2010 08:18 AM

Power came back on @ 7 am. Just after I made coffee and got the generator going. I'm still happy though, can save that gas for the boat.lol We'll get warm now.

After seeing this weeks episode..with the bikinis and tops coming off, i'd sign up for it!

QUACKHEAD 02-13-2010 10:42 AM

lost power at 8 again. Guess it was to tease us, came back on at 9:15. It did give enough time for the cental unit to warm this place up. Maybe they got all the trees off the lines now. Sometimes Salty it's almost like survival training in the military here.
