Anyone else dumb enough to be headed hunting or fishing this morning? There is ice on everything. And it's suppose be get colder later in the week. Friday it isn't suppose to get above freezing. All day. Dang global warming. We have two Coleman heaters ready to warm the blind

Well, even if you weren't the only one fishing or hunting......i think you may the market cornered on stupid. IMO

Not this morning but I'll be hunting this weekend. This is my favorite weather to hunt in and my favorite weather period.

I leave tomorrow morning for Red River WMA, will be camping through Sunday. Hopefully a big monster buck walks in front of my muzzy and I am not too frozen to shoot it.

You might have to bust some ice to get to knee deep water saturday morning. :*****:

we moved so just have a good escape route you will be ok

we killed our 2 limits of teal this morning.

I was breaking ice picking up ducks, i actually was able to sit my gun on top of the pond and it not fall through

My sister was a taxidermist in her younger days. She mounted one with
some buck teeth she got from her dentist.

my uncle made a canadian trip and they were telling him how they wished they could shoot some "north american shovelers" and he told him he would send them all the spoonies they could handle in change for all the mallards and pintail they get

You need a lot more brush on that blind, and remove them pipes and stakes from the
decoys. As bad as the hunting is, you don't want to give them ducks any reason to
flare off.

its been our best producing blind all year, got limits today, saturday and 4 days last week.

its not great, but the ducks love this area

and thats the inside of the blind, we have covers that we flip up after 7 o clock

The problem on the lease is we rotate blinds and everyone works and lives more than 1 and a half hours away so this time of the year, the brushing goes down because no one has time to brush it back up, they looked much better at the beginning of the year

my favorite way to hunt out there is standing in potholes waiting, thats what i do most of the time. but a hole in my waders and cold weather made me stay high and dry (ish) today.
