how often do yall clean yalls reals |
i wipe my reel and rod off with a soaking wet towel and then lightly oil the reel every trip
|
you break it down everytime
|
nope, not if it hasn't taken a lot of spray or been dunked.....
|
I just send 'em back. :smokin:

Almost Never!!! Once a year if any!!!! Whip down out side with oil sometimes and just oil!!! |
thats why you have to keep buying new ones all the time

I have an older style Curado thats making noises when i reel. I was gonna take it apart this time i was home but i had to rush to work. any one have any ideas or suggestions before i tear into it? and what might be a few places to send them to, salty, that can fix them if something is messed up. it still casts and reals really well, just makes a grinding noise... i know it aint sand because i already sleaned it out. I think its because the line spool is rubbing against the inner lining of the reel housing, might have a wore out bearing or something... what yall think?
|
After I fish I spray them off with water at the car wash when cleaning my boat. Works fine.

I might do that to my wife but NEVER MY REELS! |

|
no i promise i will stick with it!!
salty since you sent a box COVERED with Ou stickers. i might aswell right in sharpie sayin' "My hat is prolly burning, but OU still sucks!!!" |
Quote:
There will be a late fee of $10 for every day after Thursday. In other words, if I don't get it until Wednesday of next week.....you'll owe me $50. |
I lightly rinse my reels after every trip.
About every 3 or 4 trips, i take the spool out and clean any dirt / grit with a kleenex or quitip and oil the bearings. I have not taken the drag assembly off in about 2 years.....may need to do that sometime. My reel is 6+ years old and still works very smooth. I used a Citia (Sp) for a few cast last week. It had a little vibration while casting the line out and I did not think it was as smooth as my CU200BSF. |
Quote:
i aint sendin it pony express!!! you never know i may not even send it!!! you may end up with a custom shirt,by huntin fool, saying OU SUCKS |
