I put it on my calendar!

ratherbefishing186 03-24-2016 11:22 AM

I'll be glad to donate my entry fee again this year!

ckinchen 03-24-2016 03:59 PM

Bump

mriguy 03-24-2016 04:02 PM

Looks good for me

PaulMyers 03-24-2016 04:07 PM

Casey, when are you going to setup the entry fee in the SC Store?

Andy C 03-24-2016 04:48 PM

What charity we given to??
What's the rules?
Is it going to be half assssed like last year or it going to be all all out ?? Like it should be???

This will probably depend on if anybody signs up and pays before the last week of July. Everybody waiting until the last minute to sign up is what makes it so hard to plan. When you only have 10~15 ppl signed up 2 weeks before the tournament, why have it? Last year it wasn't until it was cancelled that people all of the sudden wanted to pay up. It would really help out if when Casey puts the entry item in the SC Store people would buy their entries instead of just saying I'm going to fish it. The only people we can count are the ones that have paid.

It's going to be all out minus t-shirts. There will be raffle items, jambalaya and drinks, trophies awarded, etc.... We will welcome all donations, even bags of plastics. We bundle these bags together and make sure every kid leaves with something fishing related.

We will again ask everyone to bring their own chairs and grab an extra if you have one. This makes the tear down in that scorching heat a lot easier when it's just a few tables.

And as always.....we look forward to you and your crews participation and donations Andy....

So bring it on.....we will be there in full force.

meaux fishing 03-24-2016 07:38 PM

I was just thinking about the tourney the other day. I know several people that will be in

I will probably rent a place this year and hang out. Last year was the only year I didn't stay.

Bob, We greatly appreciate it. Do you think you can get them to pay before the final 2 weeks?

If you get a camp again this year, keep me in mind. :D

With great success comes great responsibility!

MathGeek 03-24-2016 10:17 PM

Thanks for the early announcement. It certainly makes planning easier.

As it happens, y'all picked to have this thing on my 27th wedding anniversary.

How do you think this will go:

Mrs. Mathgeek, how about we go to the SC fishing tournament for our anniversary. Maybe we can catch a big black drum and win the trash fish category?

Possible answers:

Yes, dear. That's a great idea.

I'm cutting you off until our 28th anniversary.

ckinchen 03-24-2016 10:51 PM

St. Jude will be our charity this year.

You first. Let me know how it goes, and I'll reconsider my options accordingly.

Funniest thing I've heard all day ! ... Good luck to ya on the outcome ! :rotfl:

ratherbefishing186 03-25-2016 08:12 AM

Just my 2 cents but I would charge one price (normal price) up to 60ish days out and then tack on a 25% late registration fee for all others after that. It would get people motivated to register early (i will admit i registered a week out last year myself) so that you can plan properly.

mriguy 03-25-2016 09:56 AM

PReaux 06-21-2016 10:01 AM

Aug 6th is 46 days away . . Window of opportunity is beginning to close . .

Norbear 06-21-2016 11:56 AM

And still can't find the sign up. Yall went to Pa Tu La last weekend or two?

ckinchen 06-21-2016 12:50 PM

We were asked not to half AXX the tourney this year. My schedule is just to busy to put this tournament on guys, I can't do it. I understand some of you will get upset but my kids come first. Mason is playing in the elite 32 invitation only tournament at Disney the weekend before this event and we have events every weekend leading up to this event and football tryouts in the middle of it. I am fine with a group of guys getting together and fishing this tournament and calling it a salty Cajun event. I am open to it being a charity event but not pulling together prizes and having drawings, etc... I just don't have time to do it this year. I have asked my mods and they are also very busy and do not have the time to do it either. That's where we are on this right now. I love this event, I just don't have the time to give this year. Sorry.

ckinchen 06-21-2016 12:52 PM

We have reserved Calc point, there can still be a tourney there if you guys want to do it. I just won't be able to attend this year.
All of you know I have a camp in Hackberry. I have been there once this year.... Once... It is what it is. I have to get out of the mouse trap and some point, I am having to learn to say no sometimes I can't be all things to all people. But I would love for this tournament to continue in some capacity. Or of course we can try again next year.

Andy C 06-23-2016 05:07 PM

Dose anyone what to keep this going?? I will head it up if and only if someone is confirmed to cook, weigh master with scale, and some door prizes from everyone. If I can get this by the first of July I will do it, , if anyone has a lead on a pa. Or tables or chairs would help too..
Entry would start July 1 and end July 15 that would give everyone two weeks to enter. Late entry's start the 16 and go to the 25 of July with a 35 dollar extra fee!!! Any one entire after that is 50 dollar extra.

Rules will be the same as last year.

Dose anyone still want to do this??

Andy C 06-23-2016 05:15 PM

Signat? Cook?? Crabman or duckman?? Cook gumbo?? Yall been looking for a show down. Lol.

Andy C 06-23-2016 05:43 PM

Feel free to call or txt me, at 2817036660. I would really like to see this happen again guess we will see if i am the only one. Reason for the dates is getting placks or troufys, pardon my spelling I am in a tractor bailing hay.

Take care of family.

Past tourneys were awesome, and no one can take that away.

I'll donate and set up PA same as last year. It can be as big or small as you need.
