Vermilion Bay Westside 06/19/15
 

Made a trip this morning and was disgusted with all the dirty water in the bay right now! Found some pockets of clean water around hell hole and in the lake to pick up our reds. Had 7 reds before 8 and caught the rest and the flounders through out the day. Artificial tipped with shrimp under a popping cork did the trick.Attachment 90104Attachment 90105Attachment 90106

Just a quick question, where's the best place to put in to fish the West Side of Vermilion Bay. I've only fished it a few times and only know of the launch near the state park. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks for the info. I found the landing on Google Earth. Is there any place to get bait near by?

Live bait, no I don't think so. Castnetting at the weirs would probably be your best bet for live bait. Bait shrimp, Maxie's right there at the landing has some, or the little store in Perry, C&J's Outfitters have bait shrimp.

I think It's open. I saw this on the news the other day
