Sorry guys ya'll probably expected a dead one on a strap... Hunting was slow toward the end of the 2nd split and so I started driving the Cam prarie refuge on my way home from hunts with the camera. The Cinammon was right on the far reach of my lense so it isnt the greatest pic. Thought I would share it along with a few other pics I been taking.

I enjoy it almost as much as hunting them. I keep telling myself I will take pics in the blind but can't seem to trade in the beretta for the camera while in the blind.

That Cinnamon Teal is a beautiful bird.

ScubaLatt 01-28-2015 12:04 AM

you should enter some of them in photo contests. Especially the one with the GW teal in flight and the drake sitting in water. DU has a contest I believe. Those are awesome. What camera do you have? Lens?

Thanks for all the compliments guys, honestly I am just learning my camera and the limits that my lense and platform can do. I am shooting a Nikon 5200 with a Nikor 55/200 lense.

BloodKnot 01-28-2015 07:03 AM

Good stuff man. Beautiful pictures. That tricolored heron picture is fantastic! Really brings out all the color in that beautiful bird.

The picture of the little blue heron is great as well. Definitely my 2 favorites of the bunch.

I've got a Nikon myself but it's getting a bit old in the tooth at 10 years old or so.

Dude, that mallard getting off the water is awesome!

Are you doing any editing/touch ups after you take them?

Mostly cropping them. Some I have to sharpen up a bit. I went through some that I edited with other features, and found the originals to be better.

Beautiful pics. Just as pretty as Mr. Hohorst

Duffy.yyz 01-29-2015 08:40 AM

Awesome! Might need to patent a decoy that looks like a drake on top of the hen like that. I think that is what my spread has been missing.
