My motor is too large for the pool but these are from Laccassine Refruge canals that open at the same time. I can't wait.

marshrunner757 01-22-2015 05:05 PM

I need to get over there some time. Would like to fish the canals. I have hunted there but never fished it.

mallardhead 01-22-2015 06:19 PM

I'm ready but will not fish the pool the first few weeks always pound the fish first in the refuge canals they seem to produce way better than the pools does for the first few weeks.

I've never been, my motor is too big.. Anyone need a tag along one day, I'd most likely be down unless I'm slamming them else where. No bigger than a 40 in there right?

I love to fish out there, but I can't stand some of the idiots that go...Not sure yet.

jl8200 01-26-2015 10:55 AM

I used to fish there pretty often. Its a really nice place to fish and relax. Got to be able to run shallow to get around in there. Jack plate recommended.

BassYakR 01-27-2015 09:12 AM

funkyflemmons 01-27-2015 09:12 AM

Montauk17 its comfortable for me after a weekend or two although i fished opening last year, my favorite time of year to fish is May and June, fishing may be tougher but is good once you figure it out, i fished the pool 25+ times this year, by June i was going and never see another person

This is some very useful information.

Shrabs 03-10-2015 07:41 AM

Just heard that everthing south of the new levee in the pool will be blocked off at the bridges, so no access to south pond or twin sisters area. Does anyone know if this is true?

Top Dawg 03-10-2015 07:47 AM

That's what the article said in the American press

Shrabs 03-10-2015 07:57 AM

Ok Thanks, That sucks, boats will really be stacked on top of each other on north end

Duffy.yyz 03-10-2015 08:10 AM

That blows...

cgoods17 03-10-2015 08:13 AM

why would it be blocked up at the bridge?
