I just got a call and was told the General is ordering the Post closed, they told me to send everyone home and close up the motorpool. Too late, I'm already at the house snacking on some boudin from Soileau's. Heck, it's Friday, I always find a reason to go home early on Friday's.

The snow here is fairly heavy, but very little is sticking to the ground...Excuse the mess in the picture of our "compound"...we just finished putting up the garage and we're adding on a patio cover, so that part of the yard is a mess. :redface:

My niece lives just South of Deridder and she said it was raining there too.
We are supposed to be going to a party in Ragley tonight. No snow there yet.

Man, I am 100 miles due south of Cameron right now and it is pure MISERY out here. Talk about suck arse. 50 mph winds, raining and freezin arse cold. We shut in a little while ago and I had to get out in this crap. Not happy.:pissed:

4.3 v6....it gets the job done and gets 21-22mpg on the highway. Im building a 383 that im putting in it around january or so. Don't waste your money on the cheap LED lights like I did....had some lights go out already and there only 6 months old.

I live in Prairieville which is just south of TRASHY Baton Rouge.....no snow yet!!!

i hate baton rouge with a passion but i am not sure prairieville is that much better.

Is this your first build? I have built a few of them hot motors back in the day. The last hot motor I built was a 355 for my step side Chevy.

I agree to a certain extent but trust me it is better than BR......at least now with the growth in Ascension parish (resturants & stores) you really do not have to travel into NASTY-N-TRASHY BR!!!:D

I live just off of Campfire road.

I was coming home at 4:40 PM and when I got to the light on Hwy 171 it was snowing. I was still snowing when I got home, but stopped for a while. Enough came down so that some of the neighbor's houses were about 1/4 white.

Anyone else keeping warm???????????????
