Your favorite jigheads?

I'm redoing my box and it's time to buy more jigheads. Which ones are your favorites?

Never tried em, but can't see them being better than the YM. You use both?

bjhooper82 11-29-2014 11:21 AM

Yellow Mouth is the best hands down!

Cripley 11-29-2014 11:55 AM

I am hands down Yellow Mouth i caught 20 reds the other day with one Gulp swimming mullets. I can use a plastic Matrix shad take it of put it on my pocket and put it back on and it will still hold perfect. The Money i save on bait alone makes it worth it. I buy them 100 at a time now and will not use any other.

If you cant find yellowmouth, then look for Jenny's Jigs jig heads. They look identical to the yellowmouth and are cheaper.

looks can be deceiving. cost is in the hook. he does have some good stuff though

Yellow mouth by the bulk loads for my boat

Winter time use 1/16th 1/8th
Summer 1/4 oz

jchief 11-29-2014 02:48 PM

Contact me if you wish to get bulk pricing. sales@yellowmouthbaits.com

And as Josh said, looks are deceiving. But will not knock anyone else's product. Try YMB jigheads and you will never use another brand.

Sorry, there was a typo in the email address.

bobo23 11-29-2014 02:55 PM

Yellow mouth. Best one I've tried. By a long shot.

Meh! They work great in my opinion. The hook is strong and sharp. I have both brands and buy whichever ones are available and don't use any other brands. My point is they both address a design flaw in other jigheads with their ability to hold plastic baits really well.

La lead are sold as singles or in bags of. 50 on this side at local tackle shops. Never used a yellowmouth. When i tried to check on them it seemed that the hook on their 3/8 head was way oversized for my use in lake p.

I'm over in the NOLA area. I haven't seen any yellow mouths but I like to experiment and try new things. Is there a website? I've googled it up but haven't been able to find one.

hook in 3/8 is 4/0

Is 4/0 the only option in 3/8?

jlincecum 12-02-2014 06:51 AM

yes sir, I've tried to keep the selection down to the most used in each size. For many reasons but mainly so I can keep up demand of the major choices and be spread too thin.
1/16oz - 2/0
1/8oz - 2/0
1/4oz - 3/0
3/8oz - 4/0
I realize the size of the hook in the 3/8 is probably more based on needs of the west side fisherman as it is used more for redfish and in certain situations. 3/8 for trout is just not needed over here
