Kind of the stupidest thing I ever heard

For God sake stuff was cooked at 1800 degrees

If Ebola can survive that then we just found a new weapon of mass destruction !!

I will put the ashes on my front porch

Easy to say that when you know there is no way those ashes could ever end up on your porch. I want that stuff, burned or not, as far from me as possible.

Why do they need to transport it that far anyways. You mean to tell me there isn't a facility near such a large city as Dallas?

Interesting I believe waste management saw $$$ and the facility here was their closet adequate furnace.

My problem is transport from A to B...there is your greatest potential for exposure.

Once incinerated no problem...

Paulox86 10-13-2014 07:19 PM

Trust some minimum wage worker to incinerate the victims belongings? I think not. Get it the hell away from here.

redaddiction 10-13-2014 07:22 PM

According to the article, the stuff was already burned. They are just refusing the ashes.

Especially since Chem Waste Mange. is about 2 1/2 miles by the way a crow flies from my house.

MarshRat89 10-13-2014 07:46 PM

They would have to bury in the hole with the ashes then "MAYBE" you might be at risk.

Goooh 10-13-2014 07:59 PM

I'll grab my tin foil hat

"W" 10-13-2014 08:05 PM

Once u burn something for 2 hours at 1800-2000 degs

Tell me what the hazarded of Ebloa is?

eman 10-13-2014 08:06 PM

ebola virus is killed at 150 F. From what i understand the facility has a contract w/ the hospital to handle all their hazardous waste . So they were going to take it until the Atty Gen. got a court order to stop them.

speck-chaser 10-13-2014 08:13 PM

Hafta get some stock in waste management. Lately everything anything related to ebola is going up.

PaulMyers 10-13-2014 08:49 PM

If its not a bio hazard, why don't they just spread it in the flower beds around the hospital?

Paulox86 10-13-2014 08:53 PM

In theory, everything should be fine if all procedures are followed...but why take a chance. Remember these are government regulations they are supposed to follow. Hell...a medical worker in Dallas has contracted the virus. If they cannot control it in the hospital, good luck with the end point being Carlyss, LA. And she was following CDC protocol.

If your yard is like mine right now, there isn't enough for all the ant beds!

What's that?

It's an insecticide. Pretty sure you can get it at a hardware store unless you or someone you trust has a pesticide license and can get it from a chemical company(Helena, CPS, etc.) It's the ticket for keeping the ants and most of the Mosquitos out of your yard.

Thanks, I have a bunch of both and the rain will just give me more mosquitos in a day or 2.

It worth it. We're surrounded on 3 sides by rice/crawfish fields and when we keep up with the spraying we can hang out in the yard all day and night with minimal mosquitoes. Cross the road into my uncle's yard and they'll dang near carry you away.

When the government lies and lies, it's hard to blame people for being skeptical.

It has not helped that CDC downplayed transmission of Ebola through casual contact, preferring to claim that it was only transmitted through bodily fluids.

It's not the odds, it's the stakes.

Does anyone really think Ebola can survive incineration? Probably not.

Does anyone really think those handling the waste may have botched the decontamination and incineration? Yep.

It's about trust for low wage health care and waste disposal workers in TX. Who wants Ebola in Calcasieu Parish only to find out later how illegal aliens mishandled the waste?
