the cove is actually pretty... I always wonder if you could still catch some reds there or in sharks bayou somewhere... Almost all of the bay gets dirty, so you would think the reds would pile up in the clearer waters.. Salinity is still at 6ppt

Weather look good for this weekend. Anybody making a trip this weekend?

I am, but not there lol Bass fishing mode until the heat of the summer!! Gotta get those big bucket mouths!

You the same davewiseman on rodnreel? Used to read your reports all the time on there.

I catch most of my redfish close from Febuary into the summer and not always in clear waters, lots of times they look white being in milky water.

Cool....need to learn your end more only been there a couple times. I mostly fish out of intracoastal city since it's closer to my house.

If the bait is there they'll be there.

Didn't do good at all..... Tried plastic, top water and shrimp. Couldn't get a bite, the best water I found was in the cove which was where I spent most of my time. I went in shark bayou and around blue point the water was much worse, I also tried to go around to the hammock but The wind was whipping all day and it was to choppy. It was still was nice getting out on the water and ended up being a nice day. I hope everyone else does better.

Thanks for the report. It's tough out there this time of year. Still better than painting, which is what I spent my day doing!

I went out yesterday. Cove was choppy early, one of first three at the Quintana ramp. So we crossed the bay to get protected water. Nothing biting in the island or outside the pass for me. Tried it all. Gulf side was calm, returned back with nothing. Left about noon. Boat ran great and happy to have made the trip.
