Marine radio

I just saw this set up at a marine dealer. Looks pretty cool. I was told take the speed odometer out and install this Lil radio in its place. Not bad price either

I have a Fusion MS-IP700i with ipod docking station and love it...it also has a usb port so your droid should work also...im not sure if I would go with Jensen...over the years ive been around them in my dads old work trucks they never seem to last and not good sound.

The sonichub is made by fusion for lowrance. If you get the opportunity to play with one hooked up to an hds touch i think u would get it no question.

Fusion 700

I looked at a few videos for the sonic hub. Getting the sonic hub would make more sense, Being that I have the lowrance hds unit.

I plan on getting a sonic hub too. Pick up a used iPod at a pawnshop and just leave it in the boat
|
Looked at the sonic hub at cabelas. Wasn't real impressed with the sound, but that may have been just because they had them paired with lower grade speakers. Ive heard a lot of good things about the fusion units. I like the ability to Bluetooth music to it too.

At minimum, you should see an RPM spike of 200+ each time the bass hits while running. |
Lol im Not going all out with big speaker amp etc. Just want a nice radio that will last and to listen to while catching limits every time I'm on the water. Lol :D

That would be like the one I got. I ended up getting the 700i. Found a good price at hodges marine.

Check out " Wet Sounds "
It's just a blue tooth nob No radio face or anything just a dial I hear the speakers take a beating too. I don't have it but looking real hard. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Fusion Fogs!
I have a Fusion that fogs up in the early morning like a cheap rifle scope. Sent it back to Fusion. They sent it back, supposedly repaired, still fogging! I pressed them about not fixing it and they gave me the "cold shoulder"after that!. Consider looking at the the Kenwood 700u and its reviews before buying a Fusion. Good luck!

Had a fuaion and it fogged. I also had one similar to what the OP is asking about and it fogged and the volume buttons wouldn't work at times.
|
Think I'm going to stick with a blue tooth speaker and use my phone and ipod for the music.

I just got my new JL MX650 speakers in yesterday and will be adding another set along with an amp some time down the road , but Fusion makes a Bluetooth adapter so I can use it with my current head unit. Once this HU takes a crap I'm not sure what I'm going to replace it with. I'll probably end up with a Clarion CMD8.
|
Stay away from clarion and Jensen if possible because the sound quality just isn't there and it seems 1 out of every 5 fusions I install fog up. Look into the aquatic radios and the wetsound knobs are a great way to keep a clean look and not worry about a radio but you will have to be running a amp on your speakers and you can only use your phone
