Immediate prayers!
explosion this morning at the Williams Olefins facility in
Giesmar.........does not look good on the surface........hwy 30 completely shutdown.......still on fire........not everyone accounted for yet, but we are early.......so let's pray that everyone is safe. |
Just had a pic sent to me on my cell. It looks pretty bad but, there were a lot of people walking out in the pic so, that's a good sign.

Buddy was working on a crane when the explosion occurred, glad he wasn't on top of one of those stacks like he usually is. Said people were climbing the fence to get out of the plant. Bet the bottom feeders are parked outside signing up the LCD's as I type.

I am proud to say that I was a very small part in a large group today from a neighboring plant that took part in evacuating over 500 people today in the heat of the moment and my prayers do go out to all families involved! I saw things today that will make a grown man break down! I helped coridnate the elementary school people were bussed to. When that was over I went to Lamar Dixon!

It was a sad day indeed, but also a day I am proud to be from South Louisiana, from the first responders, the the team at St. Elizabeth joining hands in prayer outside the emergency room.......I have friends and family in both places.....we are particullarly blessed to live here
