My wife will be 1 week past due tomorrow. If she doesn't go into labor tonight, which it doesn't look like she will, we have to be at the hospital at 5 am tomorrow (Monday the 10th) to induce. This is our first child and we're hoping and praying everything goes great. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Go get her some hot wings and then feed her ice cream. Lol my prayers are with ya'll good luck.

onto other things, I don't know if your wife plans on getting an epidural or not. My wife was on the fence whether she wanted it. They induced labor in her and after a 5 or 6 hours in labor she decided she wanted an epidural, she was trying to be tough and go all natural. Well she waited to long to get the epidural and the DR. couldn't do it because she couldn't keep still with the labor pains.

If your wife is getting an epidural tell her to get it early.

Thanks guys. We got in the room around 5:15 and they started her pitocin drip around 5:40. She's having some mild contractions so far but nothing major yet. I appreciate all the prayers.

Saying a prayer. We had to induce for my wife as well. We were in labor and delivery for 36 hours!! It was scary as Hell, but completely worth it. Good luck and congrats!!!

the old inducement ploy.....shouldn't have been a problem until two weeks after due date, but I know how the medical world operates. My wife had all of hers naturally at home, no pitosin, epidurals, etc. Think all ladies contemplating the birth process should watch the documentary, "The Business of Being Born"......eye opening stuff about the birthing process in the hospital system......
