Yeah, vehicle glass is touchy stuff. I actually had a door glass blow up once sitting in the bed of my truck. It was for a customer vehicle and I had it waiting to put it in and the sunlight was enough somehow.
Anyway, that's great work. What types of equip you gotta get for that? Got pics of some of your equip? |
Sounds like a good idea.... I might get back with you on that.
|
Nice...Did not know you was doing that........... Jordan just Text me..wanted to know if you still are going to draw that Skrimp boat on his back glass
|
Nice work Speckdaddy.

That's some great art work.
I will have to do a little research ,I know i've seen a type of light that you put into a frame then frame the etching and it makes the etched part of the glass light up. |

PM me your email. I enlarged the picture and it came out pretty good. How big do you need the pic? Does it need to be the same size that goes on the glass? |
I used to etch glass, but it usually involved a straw. I'm just sayin. Nice work.

speck daddy, that is some really nice work. I think you are a little misleading though about just having to have a diamond bit and a dremel tool to do that. you could give me all the tools you want and all the time I needed and I would still not come up with stuff like that. Thats a talent man. Can you do plexy glass too?
|
Man all the work you gonna get you gonna have to start chargin!!That looks awesome!I always wanted to have some ducks etched on my gun cabinet doors.

Nice work Speck. I used to do etch glass work but it involved using a masking tape, painstakingly cutting the 'mask' with an exacto knife and sand blasting with sugar sand. It was hard to find the 'two dimensional' vector art designs so I would find a new house for sale and go copy the design of the glass front door onto clear traceing paper. Duck designs I used were very intricate and time consumeing. I'm gonna try the Drimmel tool trick. Thanks for sharing and again nice work....
