Shell is hiring 100+
For anyone looking for offshore work, had an email today that Shell will be hiring over 100 operators and technicians
http://www.shell.us/aboutshell/caree...chnicians.html And military has a program now across the gulf that all who served in our armed forces can get a job with almost any oil company right now |
They have been doing that for the past 4 or 5 years.
|
Thanks for putting that up.
|
W, is there any special name for the military program?

We have about 10 in our Area between mechanics and operators.. |
Go to that link and scroll down. Several of the job titles mention military. I assume those are part of the program.
|
Yap we hiring....
|
They get tax breaks for hiring ex military within a certain time after they leave.
If you are gone from the military too long, they don't get the breaks. |
Im graduating this summer from sowela in Instrumentation. How long do yall think I should wait to start applying? I already have a full time job but im just wondering how long the hiring process is normally. Should I wait a month out or start putting in now??

Convent...........they did not renew the leases to farmers in the area.
Not exactly sure just where, but they are four laning HWY 70 from HWY 22 to the Sunshine bridge...... |
The sasol plant is big on multiple fronts, but 96,000 bb/d sounds pretty weak - I must be missing something.
What's that number refer to? What does this do for the marine side of things as far as transporting in and out? |

I know shell is planning on building a new cracking plant in PA. |

not exactly sure but we are talking taking Natural Gas, not liquid gas, and turning it into fuel, like keresone and aviation fuel. It burns much cleaner than bio-diesel from what I am told and we have an abundance of it. |
The application process for Shell is about to be closed and probably will not open up again this year. They will select new hires for the year based on the number of people that have already applied, sometimes they will do more than one round of hiring. They had 3 rounds last year, but they all came out of the same applicant bunch. Shell has already began contacting the applicants to schedule testing dates for this year. I was told the actual hiring will be in October this year.
