Keywest18 02-14-2013 10:37 AM

Lol, i love watching it but its better muted. Too much dramatization...

OhSoEasy 02-14-2013 10:45 AM

I was so excited I bought all of the special edition, 60 dollars a box Troy landry 22 they had in Lafayette. Haha Has anyone bought that stuff? I wonder what's the difference.

The box

DUCKGOGETTER 02-14-2013 10:47 AM

Looking forward to it. Yeah it's dramatized alot, but it's supporting local people.

swamp snorkler 02-14-2013 11:04 AM

I like to watch the show that comes on Saturday Night on CMT, Swamp Pawn.

Keywest18 02-14-2013 11:29 AM

Swamp pawn is pretty good too. I think seamp people need to find more people like glenn and Mitchell. They need to have more of a variety. The alligator hunting is cool. But, they need to show people crawfishing, setting jugs. Building pirogues, etc.... It would be a much better show. Or a cajun DIY show. That would be interesting to watch

I concur

Bucoo 02-14-2013 12:50 PM

I've gotten to where I don't even really care for watching the show anymore. Too much put on.

fishfighter 02-14-2013 12:57 PM

texas

what is up with the new people from texas, i thought you had to be a resident of the state to be able to get an alligator permit, i am sure they would do better finding more local people if they wanted the show to be entertaining, i mean come on, they start the show talking about louisiana traditions and alligator hunting being the heart of it, but here are some texas people, how is that for louisiana tradition

They have some new people from TX?

I know they have the kid who's parents own Zams Swamp Tours on it ZZ. The parents were on wife swap a fews years ago. I see them in wal mart a couple times a year. The kid took his moms car one day and went to a coworker of mines house one day. He wanted his son to go ride with him to Thibodaux, only problem was ZZ was 13! That kids a charachter, should be cool. People in Bayou Bouef Live by different rules than the rest of the world.

evidrine 02-14-2013 04:13 PM

Yea, they do get annoying after a while. I hear that J-paul is one bad a** dude though. From what I understand you dont want to get in a ring with him.

Guy shot at one of our crews one day. He came flying up in his "jet boat" and bailed out while it was still moving. Wanted out sonar guys help him find logs. We have a recording here somewhere of him calling our office to leave a message. Dude is nuts in real life.

Keywest18 02-14-2013 04:16 PM

There's a video of him on youtube but the quality sucks.

My buddy challenged him and his dad to arm wrestle and neither one of them wanted too.

Goosepond Monster 02-14-2013 04:51 PM

I'll be watching for sure. I understand it is dramatized, but I really enjoy getting a glimpse into the Cajun lifestyle.

Hydro 02-14-2013 08:19 PM

"Meanwhile, in Pierre-Par"

3FLa 02-14-2013 08:37 PM

Too Much

I do not know if any of you noticed this, but last season when they were pulling a "700 lb" gator into the boat, it already had the tag on its tail.

First couple of seasons were good, but then to much hollywood b.s. I am hoping the same thing does not happen to Duck Commander.

Duck commander season 2 was staged to the max. Season 1 was staged too, but you could tell most of the stuff they weren't trying to put on - now, once the network figured their humor out and found the niche it is riding the redneck wave.

Season 3 is sure to be a rehearsed and written production.

Sad

How bout on swamp people when the storm came and the water was coming over Troys transom? Like they were cruising and it was swamping them, but you could tell they were in reverse hitting some chop!!

meaux fishing 02-14-2013 09:02 PM

J-Paul's family has some seats at the Saints games right in front of me. Dude is actually a really nice guy. I feel bad for him when he comes to games cause every 5 min somebody wants to take pictures with him. I do a lot of photo bombing lol

huntin fool 02-14-2013 09:12 PM

Staged or not, I'd take Liz's daughter out for dinner for sure;)

"Everything's bigger in Texas" he said while gator hunting in the largest swamp, largest hardwood, soggy bottom forest in the nation, that's not in Texas. And it was the oldest route of the largest river in the nation, that's not in Texas.

Will"E"Fish 02-14-2013 10:53 PM

Obama said they could

biggun 02-15-2013 07:49 AM

WTH is UP with the Texas Dudes... The Producer's, got another duo I guess because of the hurricane down in the mouth of the river, apparently Trapper Joe and his side kick won't be ON this season???

swamp snorkler 02-15-2013 07:55 AM

I don't think Joe and Tommy are going to be on. I'm facebook friends with Tommy and he didn't say aynthing one way or the other.

I'm ready to see ZZ, he should make for some good entertainment.

I'm thinking they noticed Texas viewership wasn't what it should/could have been so they had to bring some fellas in. It makes for a nice soap opera.

Sightwindow 02-15-2013 08:49 AM

Tommy and Joe are out.

leblanc272 02-15-2013 09:10 AM
