Wish I was going with you......havent had time in the stand since October

Wind sheild wipers are frozen to windshield and windows frozen shut! Might have to wait till the ice melts to hit the hwy snowed last night at the lease.

My cousin shot a big 6 point this morning, last night on his way back from work he counted 8 deer feeding in fields along the way, they defintiely moving right now.

with a smokin thunder stick. Still cant get over how quick this deer season passed.

Headed to Tensas in the morning till the 28. Hope I can get to some ridges I know.

Guy I know has a camp close to ours at Big Lake camp ground that told me when he left last weekend the water was around two ft over the road all the way to black top

Headed to bama for 5 days. Weather looking good and them does r getting rite.

My dad and uncle are out there now... Tried to hunt on the wheeler trail at the end of McLemore and the h2o was over the trail at parking area so they tried another spot... I'm sure the bridge on the sharkey(9 mile) trail is impassable also.

I'm in the stand in Huntsville Tx,

North la.....little town north of jonesboro,la. Just made home saw 4 yearlings,2 does,and a spike. Shot at one of the does but it was over 300 yards using a 45-70,aimed over her back and still shot under. First year in the years hunting this lease that I did not kill a single deer. Oh well that's how it goes I guess. Time to break out the bow and hunt sherburne and indian bayou till feb 15th,think I will make a hunt in the morning.

What's the name of the town? I'm just a little north of there too at our camp.

Gotta get some venison in the freezer! Got spoiled to killing 2-3 every year having fresh ground meat and sausage to last all year. Kept waking up tonight,going get a early start with bow in hand.
