Just got a call from my hunting partner, the Sweet Blind is 3 to 4 inches underwater, looks like levee hunting until water recedes, ducks are everywhere:cry::cry:

u mean scattered?? or in your field everywhere? clarify please.

In the field decoying, had limit for 7:30 this morning, mostly greenwing teal.

I live about 5 minutes from where y'all hunt and I've been watching ducks and geese flying all morning. I bet we got 12+ inches of rain. Ditches are overflowed into my yard

Y'all can't just drain some water and pump out the blind? Sounds like a pretty easy fix and "problems" solved.

Pretty sure opening out levee gates would send more water IN lol. Will have to look at our options.

They have the pumps in full operation, from the gate going in it's like a lake, until the pumps get the water level low enough in the canals no where for water to drain to, just have to wait, they will drain the water as fast as possible to get the cows high and dry. Then we can pump out the blind.

Well if we hunting the levee we can hunt more than 3 lol, we'll see what happens.

That sucks. Y'all were having a good year on specks too, it might get better with some bonus ducks now. Never know.

i open sunday i have camo face paint, 16 robos and a ghilee suit to help me hide better. Lol!!!!!!!!!

We had a disagreement over duck hunting on an Internet forum. Why are you so butthurt? Grab a tissue and wipe those tears away, were flooded enough around here. Have a good season.

first off i'm not butthurt, was just doing it to get a rise out of you and it looked like it worked. So let's just agree to disagree about duck hunting and move on i'm cool with that. I was having a good season til all this water came along, but i can't complain we killed a bunch of ducks this year.

1st split was on fire, 2nd split sucks, after all this rain it's probably just gonna be worse. I'm relying on invites to friends blinds to kill specks, other than that, I'm lookin forward to white perch, catfish, and turkeys!

should I hunt GC or Sweetlake Sat am...what say you duck masters???

GC had 10" of rain rain yesterday, should be a black jac massacre sat morning.;) Catfish locks are holding at 4' and at 3' my old marsh has a foot of water on it, can't imagine another foot of H2O. You can stick a K-Nife in it with what's coming next week.

no lie i can't wait to hit toledo for some flatheads ans sacalait. I haven't been on a good speck hunt in a couple of years, and i sure do miss it. Now turkey hunting is definately on my bucket list i have a buddy that is addicted to turkey hunting.

lol!!!!! Definatley sweetlake gc is one big lake right now
