Dink 10-12-2009 07:31 PM

Ask Cabwiz, his is black................Looks fine!!! I would think it would show every scratch???

jlincecum 10-12-2009 07:32 PM

black would be really sweet looking but i agree with the fading. that would be a ton of work to keep that finish up

When Shad pick up half the bill;)

cabwiz2 10-12-2009 07:33 PM

If you are talking about the all black hull then there are pros and cons. Pros: looks awesome when buffed. Doesnt show scum line. Stand out onthe water. Cons: water spots show up BAD. When buffed to a shine everything shows up including fingerprints. Also when on the highway every car and sign and stripe on the road is reflected off of it. Scuff marks show up more. and it is not easily patched well can tell work has been done.

mikedatiger 10-12-2009 07:33 PM

There is a fine looking Haynie at Spicer's. It's a green color - like a bright lime. One of the best colors I have ever seen on a boat.

jlincecum 10-12-2009 07:36 PM

how about gray????

cabwiz2 10-12-2009 07:37 PM

one recomendation do not get the black console if possible.

speck-chaser 10-12-2009 07:38 PM

I like blue or yellow

Ray 10-12-2009 07:42 PM

Fighting Lady Yellow or Seafoam Green.

"W" 10-12-2009 07:43 PM

I kind of like Green also.....I love the black but this boat has to last me 10 years...I hope...

Wag 10-12-2009 07:45 PM

I think any light color would be better than the black ... and congrats, I know your excited! Can't wait to see a pic

callmaker 10-12-2009 07:46 PM

I think you need to buy a pink boat with a little purple and gold stripe . Like the yellow one on your back

I was thinking a 250 XS with a 1.62 to 1 Sporty to even think about 60+ mph :*****:

This is what the boat will look like...Chris assured me with the 225 I could reach solo 63 to 65mph.... BUT 55mph I'm fine also

jlincecum 10-12-2009 09:22 PM

HDS on the dash???

Unless Chris has changed the hull design, there is no way you are getting 65mph out of that boat with a 225 OPTI and 1.75 to 1 Tourquemaster. Not trying to knock the boat, I've just been on enough to give you real numbers. :smokin:

It is a rig you'll be happy with though.

Hopedale Hustler 10-12-2009 09:24 PM

i Like Black

southern151 10-12-2009 09:25 PM

I'm in the works of buying a body shop over on my side. Get that sucker just plain white and we'll paint it whatever color you want!

I would defiantely get black as much as you gonna use it. Out of all of the guide boats on biglake the black hull boats long better than any of them after a couple years of use.

CatDaddy 10-12-2009 10:38 PM

once you go black.... We dont want you back

speck-chaser 10-12-2009 11:30 PM
