Casting for Swamp People Season 4 for History Channel
Hello Alligator Hunters and Swampers. I am one of the Casting Directors working on finding teams for a new season of the History Channel show Swamp People. The reason I'm on this forum is that we have two days left here in Louisiana and we are STILL looking for some new teams for the upcoming season. We have found some great new team possibilities and personalities but we're not done and could certainly use a few more options.
If you or anyone you know would be perfect for the show, please get in touch at marcandheathercasting@gmail.com Send over a brief description of who you are, how long you've been hunting alligators, where you do your hunting, how many tags you'll have for the upcoming season, a brief description of who you hunt with and send over at least 1 recent picture of yourself so we know who we're dealing with. Like I said we have two more days here in Louisiana so if you're interested please don't hesitate to get in touch or to forward our info along to someone who you think would be great for the show. We will be heading out for a bit but will check back later to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Thank you in advance. ~Marc |
What if you don't have any tats and all your teef? Will you still be considered for a part in the show?
Might want to PM a guy on here that goes by the handle "Ratdog".;) |
RatDog would be perfect..dude says him and momma.catch 20lb reds and clean them with a hammer and saw....
|
The show is starting to run its course if they keep showing alligator hunting. You could put a camera crew on half those people just fishing, hunting, cooking, dancing, goofing off and actually have something worth watching.
x3 on RatDog |
Thats true, why not follow some guys who do other types of commercial fishing like frogging or catfisherman........ you know how hard it is to catch 500lbs of catfish, clean and pack it all and be ready to go fihing the next day? Ride on HWY 90 between Des Allemands and Gibson, they have a guy that catches lizards, frogs and snakes and sells them to a lab. He might have some stories for you.
Please don't cast RatDog, yall make us look bad enough already. |
RatDog it is. I'll get in touch. Thanks.
|
I know someone but I think y'all are already in contact with him.
|
And a little FYI
... The narrator needs to use correct weights on Gators....a 250lb Gator is not 700lbs....we are smarter than the adv. bear ! |

That show isn't really for us folks that know whats goin on. It's more for the yankees and they love the stupid show! |
Hey W, that's one of the biggest complaints from those who know what they're talking about. So, you're not alone in that complaint.
As for RatDog, if anyone knows how to get in touch with him please send me a private message. I tried sending one to him but his private message inbox has exceeded it's limit so I couldn't leave a message for him. Popular guy, I guess. And Top Dawg, if you think of anyone else please don't hesitate to let me know. Thanks again, everyone. |

Here is an idea:
If you want a good show, how bout you go sit a Calcasieu Point Landing on a saturday and film a 30 minute show of people launching and trailering their boats. Now THAT is quality entertainment! |

GEt in touch with Iron Man and go visit with him for Taco Tuesday, he can give you all the material you need for 12-1 hour episodes in 45 minutes. Wear your hip boots though.
|
Be funny to have Troy Landry dress up in a suit and become CEO of some big company for a day, have to attend meetings, give presentations, etc:grinpimp:
I know something better happen quick though if you wanna keep cashing in on this cash cow, we got the swamp loggers/axmen, duck dynasty, swamp people, and.......rat bastards:rotfl: Here's an idea for a show - New Orleans 9th Ward:D |
Some one post up a youtube vid ratdog made
|
You should make a show with Shelby Stanga
|
I have a friend who runs land nets, he would be cool to follow. This dudes runs 8 nets a night, does sheet rock work during the day and makes or attempts to make babies the rest of the time.
|
Wonder if that sink hole will affect troys gator hunting?
|
Check out speckdaddy's YouTube video squatch hunting.
|
You should make a show about a son and father run collision center!! It would land bigger than the Tuttle's ever thought of being! I've got the perfect cast for you!
|
Ok, ShawBraquet on the site does hunt gators. Some of his tales are funny. Don't know if he is interested in something like this thought.
|
I think they get 75 tags

I think an 800 lb boga could bring some life to the show!

That would definately would be entertaining. Shoot just shoot a pilot episode, more action than those sissy crab fishermen.
|
Also I agree with what everyone else has said about swamp people. I was a huge fan for a long tome but I did not even watch every episode this year. They need to cover more of the swamp life than just alligators.
|
It is just getting to fake now. was fun to watch. Now i fastfaward most of it. LOL

And it's funnier when people point out their own displays of amusement. Like the time last summer when I was so busy bragging about all the trout I caught that I walked right off the dock into the water. My kids still joke about taking a long walk of a short pier. I've also put on a show trying to drive my brother's boat up onto his trailer. With the wind blowing and the tide moving, it can be quite a trick. Up here in Colorado, the boat ramps all have docks alongside of the ramp lanes, and I load and unload with a guide rope rather than driving it up. So the cross wind thing had me befuddled and it took two or three tries before I got it right. Even putting the boat in a slip can be tricky with a stiff southwest wind. But I did learn a trick from watching folks. The stiff south/southwest wind is much easier if you run around to the slips on the north side of the dock and head into the wind. You have much more control and can ensure a soft landing rather than having the wind push you into the dock coming straight into a slip from the south. These slips also have the advantage of not having the waves pound your boat into the dock while you go get the trailer. I also struggled down in Grand Isle to put my brother's boat into a boat slip at the marina. His 20 ft Carolina Skiff just won't turn as tight as my 16 ft V hull. And fishing fresh water most of the year, the whole tide thing is a mystery to me at low speeds. I like the launch at Port Fourchon where each ramp has its own pier and the tide is not moving cross wise.:work: |
Willie has a tooth according to my buddy; he said they make him take it out for the show.
|
Just here say; i don't know how true that is.
