SC Tournament Results & Summary

I want to thank everyone for participating this year, I think breaking our record this year on the same day another major tournament was going on speaks volumes about all of you and your commitment to the community (charity) and also your fellow members that make up this great outdoor community called SaltyCajun.

We had an incredible rain storm but those of you that stayed were part of a very giving raffle program. It was a great atmosphere and I really enjoyed it.

I want to extend a special thank you to those of you stayed to help clean up, your efforts were greatly appreciated. I also want to thank Jason and Shannon for handling the weigh in without incident like always. Of course the out pouring by our sponsors was unbelievable as it usually is.

Lastly I want to thank my moderator crew. These guys are my rock and they handled most of the details and they deserve 100% of the credit for the event, outside of all of you of course. BlueChip went above and beyond by having his son there with a PA system and the food was outstanding. Sulphite brought all of the items in and gave up his entire Saturday with a new baby at home and Paul / Jcheif handled the majority of our sponsor items. I am truly thankful and lucky to have people running the site like these gentlemen.

Sorry for the rant but I am truly thankful this afternoon and I wanted to publically acknowledge the efforts of these people.

We did not have our silent auction, it will take place online later this week, more details will follow by Monday.

1fastmerc 08-04-2012 06:36 PM

Thanks to Chicken and everybody else who had a hand in getting this together. I've have fished a few tournaments over my lifetime but this had to be one of the best.
On a side note that lightning caused a fat boy to run really fast in a pair flip flops and ruin a good pair of drawers.

Lol. That was me. It took me a longer than Weedeater to get my composer together. If it hadn't he would have been ran over by a fat boy.

Had a great time. I'm real glad the Texas Boat didn't get a check. I would not have talked any trash. LOL. Great Time. Good to meet everyone. Congrats to all the winners. Enjoy the lures.

LOL. Good one. Well I was born over here. We had to move for work when I was little. Now I just come visit when I can.

If my boat was faster I would have ran to Trinity. Would have to be alot faster.

Bluechip 08-05-2012 01:02 PM

Everyone is drenched haha....classic!!

CAMP CANARD 08-05-2012 01:19 PM

Congrats to all !
We were headed that way by Boat from Dugas around 2:00, and thought we would punch thru that storm. We sobered up and decided that was not a wise decision. Hung out in the channel by Texaco cut with a few other Boats, hoping it would pass soon. Didn't happen. Headed back to camp for something other than Beer !
Bridge closure made it a pain for us Westsiders.:pissed:

Looks like everyone had a great time, and we missed putting a face to all the good SC'ners we have talked with for the past couple of years.

mcjaredsandwich 08-05-2012 01:28 PM

Casey is traveling back home today. He will get to it.

jchief 08-05-2012 01:39 PM

Remember whatever the total, we have not had the silent auction yet. Also, Casey has some stuff going so I don't know if he will get it today or not.

mcjaredsandwich 08-05-2012 01:49 PM

Totally forgot bout the silent auction (even tho there's a thread).

sammich

mriguy 08-05-2012 01:53 PM

Does anyone have a list of items in the silent auction?

I will total everything once we finish the silent auction but the raffle alone was $1,000, the results this year are going to be much better than last year.

jlincecum 08-05-2012 06:51 PM

I would like to thank all the sponsors, people that made this happen, people that paid even though they couldnt make it, and everyone that participated. It was a great event and a lot of great kids will benefit from it. Had a great time, even after the lightening tried to fry a few peeps. Glad so many stayed and braved the weather. Once again, thank you and I look forward to next time.

Backwards Kid's Mom 08-05-2012 07:25 PM
