What is this?

My friend caught this fish yesterday in the pond behind our neighborhood. We've only caught bass back there but this one looks kinda strange. Maybe I'm crazy but it looks like some sort of hybrid. Can anyone tell what this is or if it's just a normal bass

Thats a white perch....sacalait. And a nice one. Eat dat son...
I believe I would start fishing for them....get some tube jiigs or a bucket of shiners...

I'm pretty new to fishing and have never heard of a sacalait. I would have never figured that out haha. Thanks! Caught all these out the same pond

I'd keep that pond a secret. Those are some hawg bass and that is a really nice crappie.

Those are all "trash" fish. Put them all back after catching and call me to rid you of the problem!

We live in Mandeville and all the fish are out of a pond behind my friends neighborhood with a few from another pond connected by a small stream. We go fish there just about every day we dont have baseball and that is the only sacalait we have caught haha. I have over 50 pictures of bass out of it though, the ones above just being a few.

Yes but I'm sure if you would target those sacs instead of throwing big baits you'd catch a lot more. Go get some shiners and put it 18" under a cork with one split shot n see! GAME ON BAW!!!!!!!

Gotta love a little beginners luck. Most people couldnt catch that quality fish in 2-3 trips!
