Prayers needed
 

I have a dear friend that has been battling cancer for about 3 years. He has gotten to the point he can't eat anything and they have called hospice. He is very reserved and would be upset with me if he knew I was posting this. I want to go see him but am afraid I would break down.

Please pray for him and his family.

Man go see him and just express to him how much he means to you and have a good talk. Death is a natural part of life but extremely difficult to accept. Prayers fer ya buddy bro.

Absolutely, Jude...Jason is right. Choosing to not see him is a decision you might not ever get over. Hey man...it's perfectly fine to cry. Ain't nothin' wrong with that.

While trying to build up the courage to go see my paw-paw(liquid courage), he passed away. I missed that oppurtunity by maybe an hour and, I've never forgotten that I didn't get to see him one more time to tell him how I felt. Make the trip.

A bunch of my dads friends told me at his funeral that they wish they would have gone to see him in his final days.............I would go.

However on the other hand, the last time I seen my Uncle on my moms side we were having boiled seafood at my moms house. He told me that he knew he was about to go and looked me straight in the eye and said I know I don't have much time to live, and this is my good bye. So seeing him moving around and having a decent day was my last living memory of him.


If nothing else you should call your friend and tell him you remember the good times and the bad times and you appreciate him. If he tells you that he would like to see you then go over, but at least talk to him.

I encountered the same situation a few years ago. I didn't want to go see him and he didn't want anyone to see him so......I broke out the ole' pen and paper and said my goodbyes on it and all our good times etc.....put it in a card and went and placed it in his mailbox.

I did receive a call and was invited over to BS and we never had to touch "the subject" during our conversation because he knew how I felt.

But he did give me a letter as I walked out of his house. I still have that letter in my dresser drawer with his obit. Every so often I pull it out and read it. We never had to say it but knew where each other stood.

Prayers for your buddy Jude and go see him.

Jude, ya need to go see him before its too late. You will regret it. As most of you may know, my grandmother passed away and i didnt get the chance to say goodbye til it was too late. Speckdaddy actually helped me to try to see her before she passed. I got there 40 minutes after she was gone. My best times were with her helping her cook. Jude, please go see your friend whether he wants company or not.
