I normally is a little higher BUT he builds a stronger pool which = less headache 2-5 years down the road when it starts to crack

PUREBAY2200 01-24-2012 10:23 PM

Gonna b a wave pool in a few years..... Lmao

ckinchen 01-24-2012 10:24 PM

For our last pool we went with Pebbletech which makes the water look like it has color, most people here in Houston and doing that now and I recommend it. I assume you are going with cool deck around the pool which is a good idea. If you are getting lights, get LED lights, one for the spa and one for the pool and get the ones that show multiple colors. Mine were set to purple and gold but I'm sure you will not want that combination. Get the upgraded filter that you only have to have cleaned twice a year v/s the one that you have to deal with every other week.

thats what we got ib fla. except its cool deck under the patio and paver around the pool with a stone coping

all star rod 01-24-2012 10:53 PM

The cool deck is included.
I ended up getting a one price deal (for everything)...ie....fence (in front of pool), running of gas line for hot tub and whatever other crap...

my parents had a pool at their old house and they put in a heater and a cooler. The heater allows you an extra 2-3 months use in April, sept, oct. and a cooler allows you to enjoy swimming without feeling like a crawfish being put in a boiling pot in july august. A bit more money but in the long run you can use your pool a lot more and enjoy it more when you do use it.

Super Spook 01-25-2012 09:35 AM

Check out the ionized pools. 0 maintenance in 15 years per my father. He did Salt and chlorine before.

KDM 01-25-2012 09:55 AM

i went with the saltwater two years ago and have had zero issues. It is easy on the eyes regarding no chlorine bite. Salinity is about the same as a human tear drop. Also, it does not create issues with womens hair color. Like Ckinchen said go with with the LED lights with multiple colors!!!!!!!!!
