X2 on the bream colored one. You're getting to be pretty handy with that spray gun:)

jldsc 01-15-2012 09:39 PM

I really believe that would put solid numbers of fish in the boat...fosho!

I can do chrome by using aluminum foil and then detailing it. A couple of those mullet baits are on foil.

WHOA....slow yer roll!!!!! ;) I ain't got a herd o' Texicans workin' 12 hours a day like Pox. I do these things one at a time. There's 3 dudes here in town that want a dozen each of that friggin' bluegill. Once I finish with them, I'm gonna post all this stuff on my FaceBook page. I am in the process of deleting all that junk that's on there now. As far as price.....it all depends on how much I have to pay for the blank and the hooks you want. Some blanks are $2...some are $4-5. I ain't lookin' to do this for a livin', so, if I can recover the money that I invested....I'll be tickled. After all...time ain't nothin' to a turtle. :smokin:

I can get the 1.5 and the 2.5. They are square bill knock-offs of the Lucky Craft. There are also some other smaller blanks that don't have square bills.

SaltyShaw 01-17-2012 12:50 AM

I can haz "Kade Special"

Relax! There ain't nothin' on my FaceBook except the usual FaceBook garbage. I haven't posted on there in months. When I get it cleared out and get the pics posted...I'll let ya know. :smokin:

Here'a a pic of the 1.5 and 2.5. Notice how the belly hook hanger on the 1.5 is rotated coNpared to most cranks. This allows for use of a smaller hook w/o sacrificing hookup ratio. This positioning depends, however, on the manufacturer.

How much would it cost if I get whatever kind of setup your using to paint these things? Frikin awesome paint jobs!! If you ever really plan on selling some of those, I promise I can keep you busy

You can buy an airbrush for cheap at Harbor Freight ($7-10), but, I would recommend at least an entry level Iwata or Paasche to begin with. If you have artistic skills (which I don't) maybe you should step up to a better gun. You'll need an air compressor with regulator (unless your airbrush has one) and a moisture trap is very important. Your clearcoat of choice and the paint is about it. I use Devcon 2-ton epoxy to seal the lure and Dupont Chroma automotive as a finish.

Whats the moisture trap and where do you get your paint? I use to have artistic skills lol stop trying to act like you don't btw!! Frikin baits are sweet as hell and I have no clue how you got them too look that good, but I shall have fun trying

Until a few months ago, I had never even been in the same room with an airbrush. Truth.

The moisture trap hooks inbetween your compressor and airbrush. It'll trap the moisture that is produced by your compressor...keeps it out of your hose. Nothing worse than spraying the clear coat on a finished lure and here comes a blob of friggin' water. :pissed:
