Wind+Dirty H2O+Big Lake = Hungry Trout!!

6 Attachment(s)
Well me and Brady Duhon decided hit the Lake late this am and see if we could find some hungry trout in this nasty mess! It was slow at first but when the tide finally made it in the lake we started hittin em left and right finishing our limit!! Water temps were good in the 58-60 degree range water looked bad but just stained brown still had a good foot of visibility. All the trout were caught on Glow/Chart and Chicken Stew Diet Mullet Jr.'s under 1/8oz lead also caught some drum on some little cocahoe baits so we swapped back to the Mullet Jr's quick haha! Good times on Big Lake right now majority of fish caught today went on the 2-3 pound mark with a few dinks here an there and alot of reds!!
Now booking trips
Capt. Kade Shaw

Nice fish. Every time the water gets dirty over here in the v bay you can almost count on no specks at all.

mcjaredsandwich 01-11-2012 07:31 PM

Nice job capt. Shaw! Solid trout across the table. Dats a nice big nasty you got there. Think it was a huge trout?

boatdriver 01-11-2012 07:33 PM

Not at all. When it hit, I knew immediately. It's a distinct thud, and not a good one.

SaltyShaw 01-11-2012 07:37 PM
