i threw the purple one.. nothing but lady feesh

Ray 09-02-2009 04:35 PM

I have some of those. The Texas Gold Rush, Purple and Cajun Pepper.
They work great for Flounder and pretty good for Specks.

Devil Eyes

I've thrown the Avocado and the Pink Hologram before, never caught much on them. I might try throwing them more this Winter.

Sorry, I have never fished Big Lake so I'm of no use. I was just doing the Texas vs W thing. When We get there in October I'm bringing a big selection of what works here in the fall. :help:

SULPHITE 09-02-2009 07:36 PM

Salty cannot go wrong with the avacado and orange colors...now the bone color is good as well...dark colors would be good for muddy or stained water...

caught some trout this year on the browns devil eye orange/brownish colored ones

Salty 09-02-2009 07:45 PM

What about Corkys? Where's Bruce, Big Specks, cmdrost and Bosshog?

Day-Glo, Tex Chicken, Bone/Char and LSU/Mardi Gras in the fatboys, floaters, and devils...will work.... you just gotta bend the tail and/or nose to make it swim right when you drag it.... Go to wadefishing.com before your next trip and see what colors they are catching em on. lol

How good are those corkies?? I'd like to use them in V. Bay this fall.. who do i contact to order them

SULPHITE 09-03-2009 08:34 AM

B&L lures...have to buy them from the house of the gentleman who makes them in houston tx...some stores in texas has them...can also do a search on google for b&L corky lures, I've seen some online for sale before too...

Montauk17 09-03-2009 08:35 AM

your better off using some slow sinking mirrolures in the bay IMO

cmdrost 09-03-2009 08:36 AM

come fishing with me.....I'll show you. I don't talk of such things on the internet! ;)
