Prayers needed more than ever
 

Ok guys, we need a whole lot of prayers. My cousins, aunt and maw maw just came over and when they come over like that its never good, escpecially when Jacob comes over in his unit. My cousin with ovarian cancer just had a CT scan and she had been throwing up the last couple of days. They found a tumor on her brain stem and they are doing emergency surgery in the morning. They were sure it was on her stomach but. We need all the prayers you can send to the Man upstairs. Most of my mother's side is hauling butt up to Nashville tonight and I'm sure my parents are going too. We need prayers for their safe trip North and for Brandi's surgery that it goes well.

Hope it turns out alright for her.

Surgery went find got it all out with no surprises. Now its just a matter of time waiting and seeing what will happen and how the game plan will change.

Family made it up there rather quickly and safely.

Well my mom texted me this morning; Well she looks GREAT, more responsive/less groggy but she is TIRED.

Thanks for the prayers guys. Here is the latest from today

Brandi is getting better each day. Her appetite has really picked up. She ate 3 bowls of corn flakes for brunch. Physical therapy came today, she walked 230 feet with a walker. She is basically going to the bathroom unassisted, they just watch her. Earlier today she tinkled blood and freaked out a bit. But they think it was irritation from the catheter. She hasn't done that again. The Dr. did take her off the Levinox, she will continue to get the Heprin. She thought she may be getting too much blood thinner. She didn't sleep good last night, but has had some serious naps today. Her blood pressure went up again today, 187/100. It has come down with medication. Dr. Mericle made rounds this morning. He told her if the brain tumor was her only problem he would send her home today. Thats how good she is doing from the surgery.They are thinking she will be here for a few more days. She actually asked when can she go home! I'm sure her pressure needs to stay normal before they will consider sending her home. The ICU doctor checked on her today. He said she just wasn't sick enough for him to keep her and hopes he doesn't see her again! (in ICU) Brandi just ordered supper... Chocolate pudding, cornbread dressing, creamed potatoes and gravy! She also wants a sandwich and soup from Jason's Deli! Rhett is on his way to get it. What a smorgasbord for supper! I told you her appetite is better!!!

She is now taking her pain meds by mouth. They are weaning her off the fluids. Her port had to be accessed again because her veins are blown. Her arms were beginning to swell so they had to remove the IV. All in all, everything is looking better.

Nikki and Neil gave her a beautiful card this afternoon. It made her cry. The card was like a contract, it asked her to be their baby's Godmother! She is sooooo excited to be called Nanny!!!!!
