Perfect company, Perfect weather, Perfect conditions, can only make for a extremely incredible day. Chris Veneble, and Corey Salvadras joined me today in Burn Hacking the trout. Good and easy as it gets today as we left the fish biting every cast at 9:00am. The fish are nice as we had no throwbacks and fish up to 20 inch's, average size was 16 inch's. Cocodrie Cocahoes and swim-baits put the hurt on the trout today. No live bait needed in Dularge.
Looks like the weather should stay nice for the next few days, Who wants to go? Now is the time,if you want to fill the box easily. Give me a call as I still have some open dates.

Capt. i've fished dularge a little bit was wondering where you catching your fish? I've mostly fished lake decade and lake mechant for trout and a few little side areas between the two lakes when it's not too shallow.

Not sure what you are trying to imply, but Capt Bill has given me plenty of spots that did have boxes of fish on them. Since I only get to fish the area a handful of times per year, its nice to have accurate info, you can count on to make you trip a success. One time we were there, he even tied us up to the back of his boat, while he had customers on board his boat,so we could get in on the action. Dont know of too many guides that will go out of there way to do that. They are usually too worried about someone getting their spot.

Speck Chaser, it seems to me that you were/are trying to imply something with your original comment. I only responded and never mentioned anyone's name. Feel free to contact me if you have any other issues, let's keep it off the Internet. Thanks

Ok Speck Chaser, you talk about a stab in the back ? I dont think you know what your talking about. I can tell you about that. I thought for 15 yrs i was suppose to be friends with the person you say points you in the right direction. Well it took me long enough to figure out I never caught fish where i was told to go.Yea. Thats right. Im still trying to get this knife out my back. Quit fooling yourself. MR Carson

That has got to be the most ridiculous saying I have ever heard. Sounds like some kind of heartburn or sammin. :rotfl:

Mr Carson, do you know how to fish? lol just joking. Well, I Have been knowing him for about 10 yrs. now,and He has put me and some other people I know on fish on a consistent basis over the years. Many of the times we are fishing the area he has referred us to,and he will be there with customers catching fish. I dont think he would waste his time, fishing with paying customers, in an unproductive area just to make it look like he sent me to the right spot. In any case,we all know you can fish a certain spot, and go back to the same spot tomorrow, and find that the fish have moved out. Anyway, Im sorry to hear he's never turned you onto fish,I just know what I have expierienced from his pointers. I guess to each his own.

specknation 12-06-2011 09:43 PM

I agree with speck-chaser on this one, I had a camp in fisherman's retreat in the dularge area for 12 or so years my first year or so I emailed Capt. Lake to ask questions about the area and he was nothing but nice and had great information without giving away any of his personal hot spots. Capt. Marty you should take note of how Capt. Lake handles people, yea of course do not give away exact spots that would be stupid, but by pointing people in the right direction does nothing but good for you and your reputation. Just my view on this.

PUREBAY2200 12-06-2011 09:58 PM

Yea..... Don't b a " Dumass" about it....
Lmao x1000000

bayouchub 12-06-2011 10:05 PM

"burn hack". Lmao

LPfishnTIM 12-06-2011 10:14 PM

wow, I guess some people expect a guide to give them advice, tell them where to go, what to fish with, line, rod, bait and color. and then when they don't catch fish, bad mouth them! DANG! ITS CALLED FISHING, NOT CATCHING, FISHING MEANS FIGURING OUT WHAT THE FISH WANT, IT CAN BE A CHALLENGE! BUT NO ADVICE CAN CATCH FISH, IT TAKES AN IDIOT WITH A POLE TO DO THAT! MOVE AROUND AND TRY DIFFERENT THINGS UNTIL YOU CATCH FISH AND THEN FIND OUT WHY YOU CAUGHT THOSE FISH, AND TEACH YOURSELF SOMETHING FOR THE NEXT TIME YOU GO OUT AND FISH. If you want to catch fish soo bad and take that advice from a guide, then hire him, pay him his cost to find out where to go, how to fish the area, and what tackle to use, you might learn enough to fish the area successfully for years to come.

PUREBAY2200 12-06-2011 10:25 PM

Good point there.

But talking with a guide is a smart idea..... Just gotta know that his job is to catch fish.... So he ain't revealing the " bible of fishing " to ya.

Make friends with others who fish, fish with them, get on all the local fishing sites and look and what's Being said.

Then go out and learn.

Thank you Outcast, apology accepted. I do my best to respond to all the emails and PM's I receive everyday, but sometimes there just isn't enough time in the day. Most of us live crazy non-stop lives (I know I do) and we all get those bad days every now and then!! Tightlines guys
