Not a Good Day

Well today I lost my job of over 13 yrs in the fire service . I wont go into the details ,but its not what I hoped for to say the least. I ask that you guys pray for me to get thru this. Luckily I have my guide buisness to make it thru duck season ,and hopefully I can get my fishing side up and running soon.

Thanks

PaulMyers 11-09-2011 08:28 PM

I'll be praying for you!

Ain't no hill for a steppa my bradda!!!

ckinchen 11-10-2011 07:22 AM

Trey you have to bounce back buddy. Take a couple of days and think about some other things that you want to do then put 100% of your effort into whatever that is. Give yourself the weekend to be upset about it and then on Monday you try to never think about it again. Just focus on whatever lies ahead for you.

Shawn Braquet 11-10-2011 08:05 AM

Man that sucks bad buddy hang in there

Mediumheavyaction6'6 11-10-2011 08:11 AM

hang in there man, good things could come out of this. Your guide service could kick butt and you could do what you want to support yourself instead of what you have to do to support yourself.

Budget. All branches are getting a cut from what I understand. I was there when his Gunnery Sergeant told him at NAS Belle Chasse. IDK the exact numbers but there is going to be a considerable amount of personell being dropped. Its not a seniority thing, but more like a you're gone, and you're gone type deal, but the guys fresh out of boot are staying in. The Marine Corps doesn't have the biggest budget so they are going to take the brunt of cuts. And I do think its a mix of active and reservists getting cut so the half word might be wrong.

I didn't say that to argue or start crap.

Armand16 11-11-2011 03:02 PM

It's true. I saw it on spongebob

iron man 11-11-2011 03:18 PM

I did however leave out one thing, all the cuts will be finished by the end of the next fiscal year which I do think is 2013 so its not a mass exodus. Fowler will be recieving his humanitarian discharge papers in 40 days unless by some miracle he can stay in as a reservist.

Hydro 11-11-2011 03:45 PM

Man, sorry to hear that...
