Prayer request 11/5/11
 

My fishing buddy of 25 yrs is at MD Anderson in Houston. He is 78 and been fighting lung cancer for a couple of yrs now. The cancer has spread to his pancreas & kidneys. The doctors say he also has cronic pneumonia. I believe his time here is getting very short. Please pray with me that the doctors can keep him from much pain & suffering. His name is Bill.

I had the privilege to take Mr. Bill fishing early this year! Great guy and an wonderful fisherman who is passionate about the outdoors

H made me take him back in to the landing...LOL...he wanted to stay on the water all day!

I pray that God will comfort Mr. Bill during his final days. He looked great to be 78 years young and very happy to show off that trout.

I lost my dad to pancreatic cancer in Feb 2010,it was a long hard battle and he stayed faithful through it all!! (he was a preacher) It was very hard seeing him in that much pain but we rejoice for where he is now! The Hospice nurses are a Godsend,they are a true blessing and WILL keep your friend as comfortable as possible! I will continue to pray for you guys!

prayin and hoping for the best for him. my grandpa went through the same thing and it is hard to see friends and family like this.

Will send a prayer his way. I lost my sister 12-1-10 to pancreatic cancer, she made 8 months after finding out she had it. She was 41, makes you realize that everyday isn't promised to you. By the way Bird Dog we participated last year and going to this year, at the Pancreatic Cancer walk called "Purple Stirde" It will be held in Lake Charles at the Prien Lake Park. It helps raise money for the cause and my wife made a team up for my sister. Anyone interested in participating you can PM me and I'll hook you up w/info. Date of walk is 12-3-11.

Thank you all for the responses, thoughts, prayers, and support. So many times we pray for people or situations and never hear anymore. Just wanted to let y'all know Mr. Bill passed last night at 10:30pm.
He was a great friend and fishing partner to me for almost 30 yrs.

I sure hate to hear of your loss, H. It sounds like your friend lived a great, full life. Now, as on my grandad's headstone, He's fishin' in a better place.
