I hate to ask a question not related to the current post, but I was wondering where you go to post a message on this site or how you go about posting a message on this site... I asked this question directly to the contact us area of this site but received no reply.. Thanks in advance for the reply... This is a good site for the areas I fish and would like to post reports and photo's when I have the opportunity...

Along with half of lafayette! Good luck

speck cc 10-21-2011 04:35 PM

yeah, you are right... probably hit the marsh after the crowd shows up!

fishingonewild 10-21-2011 04:35 PM

i agree with spook cux at my work 8 of mi buddies are going and some of my friends around lafayette are going so its going to be a big *** boat party out there for sure. just watch out for the potlickin! so its making me think abt not wanting to go.

fishingonewild 10-21-2011 04:36 PM

I like to catch trout but the weekend crowds make it not fun. I always get pissed off and go chase reds n flounder.

speck cc 10-21-2011 04:39 PM

haha, i agree... that's exactly what i'll do... i sure wish i had the luxury of going during the week! not yet

fishingonewild 10-21-2011 04:44 PM

yea, but that is wha bad abt v bay is its too damn close to the river causing it to have few spots i mean by god its a bigg bay full of spots almost like big lake, lake charles it just that cypermoint point sud have some help with adding more reefs like rock piling in certain spots and spread them out so the boats dont need to all pile up on one happy fisherman doing his own thing. if we all can get together and get some help from some big company that wud be willing to do something good for the fishing area of v bay it wud make a big difference.

fishingonewild 10-21-2011 04:47 PM

montuak17 if u get pissed off just grab a bag of crackers or popcorn and throw them in the water in a area where there isnt any fish the birds gonna crowd in like crazy and all them potlickin gonna go there for sure and give us guys a chance to have some room to catch our limit lol. would it be nice!

Verm bay is a fall trout spot at best, rest of the year you gotta run the outside. All the people with small boats that cant fish outside go nuts when the trout move in the bay. I fish big lake and v bay,big lake got nothing on v bay potlicking.

fishingonewild 10-21-2011 04:56 PM

lol yea good luck guys hope yall catch and im gonna be trying my best to catch wha is left of the fish from this big crowd over the weekend at least yall report it on here by saturday night so i can see if its worth it to go on sunday. yall have a great fishing weekend.

dmtfish 10-21-2011 06:13 PM

Considering the wind we had early in the week, the water did not look too bad...I think it'll get good again tom or sunday...Started in the TP this morn and there were a ton of boats, not a whole lot of catching...a few here and there...I had a buddy in from out of town and i wanted to put him on some fish, so we ran to dry reef and caught about 20 reds, only 8 were legal... Also caught a bunch of big sheepshead and could have loaded the boat with drum... Non stop action between 11:00 and 1:00.... It sure beat sitting in the trash pile with the rest of the funeral procession....I'll be back out there Monday when all of the weekenders are gone!

jpeff31787 10-21-2011 06:38 PM

Water us muddy even in weeks

booboo 10-21-2011 08:24 PM

Fished for 5 hrs today.......2 specs

bull1134 10-21-2011 08:30 PM

this afternoon nothing, water not terrible, but not nearly what i'd call good.

YellowMouth7 10-21-2011 08:39 PM

Nothing can get me down.....I'll be out there in my little special spot

speck cc 10-24-2011 03:17 PM

i joined the crowed for about an hour without a hit... went to the marsh and same results. ended up picking up a couple but nothing to brag about.

fishingonewild 10-25-2011 04:22 PM

tha is odd if yall are reporting this cux i went out there sunday and tore them up like crazy and everyone end up coming around me and the specks all scattered away. but i went ahead and drifted away from everyone and end up tearing them up some more i had two buddies tha lives out of town come with me and we all limted out in a few hours. best day of mi life tha day.

speck cc 10-25-2011 04:34 PM

i heard some better reports from sunday as well.

YellowMouth7 10-26-2011 10:49 AM
