This guy was giving lessons on how NOT to launch a boat on the Calcasieu River. Notice the sign.......His trailer hit the "obstruction" and prevented the vehicle from becoming totally submerged!:*****::rotfl::*****::rotfl:Attachment 26125

BassAssasin 10-21-2011 09:58 AM

look at all the cop cars, is that really necessary

longcast 10-21-2011 09:59 AM

Theriot Rd and I think the number of cop cars was in direct relationship with the number of alcoholic beverages he had consumed prior to launch. LOL

Keith_Stone 10-21-2011 10:05 AM

Tax dollars at work right there.. They want to make sure he is getting his money worth.

DUCKGOGETTER 10-21-2011 10:07 AM

I mean it's simple he starts acting up you pepper spray him and give him a tazer to the nads and you're done with that.

BassAssasin 10-21-2011 10:18 AM

where is the boat? did he launch it then just kept backing up?

speck cc 10-21-2011 10:30 AM

I wonder if the effects of a tazer are magnified if you're in the water?:rotfl:

i would have to imagine that they would be!! lmao!!

RODBENDER 10-21-2011 12:08 PM

OK for the record. There are four Sheriff's vehicles there. A Lt. a Sgt. and two patrolman. For the armchair quarterbacks out there, people have committed suicide by driving into the water here. Do you want to try and rescue some dipstick from the water by yourself. They are already trying to kill themself. You think they are concerned about killing you too? Hence the need for the supervisors. One of the patrolman is a dive specialist the other is investigating officer over the call. Finally, no the taser would not intensify by using it in water. It still would only affect the Tased.

Lake Chuck Duck 10-21-2011 12:12 PM

Understand what your sayin, but looking at the picture the only one doing anything is the tow truck driver. Not hatin, just sayin.

I promise you Cotton is getting paid really well for going to get that vehicle out of the water. That is prolly a $5oo.00 tow ticket before the storage.

Thank you for the azz chewing, officer Rod! BTW, the tazer thing I mentioned was a JOKE! Did you notice the >>:rotfl:<< in there?

You may have ment it as a joke but I have been asked this many times so I was just answering. Alot is misleading about the use of the device.

I'm up to date on em. My brother wears one on his side every day. 50k volts is 50k volts, just like a pound of feathers weighs as much as a pound of lead.

Yeah, that wrecker driver is fixin to get PAID! If they have to get in the water, you're gonna fork it over! Nevermind the $100 in admin fees plus $18-$22/day for storage... I had one towed to me Monday that was in storage just for the weekend and I had to write a $530 check just to get it off the truck!

longcast 10-21-2011 12:25 PM

Bender you mad. Lol. LCD I'm in class rolling.

Nope just dealing with the armchair quarterbacks. I don't go to their jobs and tell them how to wash cars.

okay since it seems my statement has ruffled your feathers let me say that it was a joke also. I know our law enforcement works hard, but you have to admit that sometimes the use of 2 or 3 deputies on a simple call is somewhat over kill. For example my wife got pulled over in a school zone one morning not for speeding, but because her window tent in the back was illegal. Now granted it's illegal and we,ve had it removed, but he took his time to pull her over in a school zone instead of watching for speeders then 2 more deputies pulled over to assit him with the writing of the ticket to her that's where some of our tax money goes to.

i was wondering where you've been

RODBENDER 10-21-2011 01:00 PM

My feelings are not hurt, LOL! It is just the judgement people make without even knowing about what is going on. If I see five fire trucks in front of a house on fire I don't think hmmm too many trucks for a little house fire. Why they need so many trucks for one house. If it isn't your business then don't worry about it. Hey i'm not hatin. I have put my life on the line for you for over 12 years now. And will gladly continue.

Understood Rodbender!!!!!;)

I read comments on here all the time that are against what I do for a living but I chose not to comment on them because for one, I don't want to start a bunch of crap and two, the people will usually not understand if I tried to explain to them. I realize the comment would be abrasive to a law enforcement officer and the gentleman apologized for it. No one on here intentionally tried to call you or your co workers out, it's just one of those things that people say, no harm no foul.

All though you have chose your profession on your own, I do not think you will find anyone on here that does not appreciate what you do for us and will continue to do for us.....:)

that pic is definitely from the old 171 boat launch in Moss Bluff and not to start somthin or throw gas on a fire but fellas if yall think its crazy to see so many cops in one spot yall have seen nothin. I have grown up in The Bluff and if anything happens out here everyone responds from fire department, sheriffs office, ambulance, ert, first responders, hazmat..... do I need to keep on? I understand that they all have a dangerous job and totally respect that but it does get comical at times, I somtimes wonder if the union jk ain't pretty dead on, but rest assure if you ever need one of The Bluffs finest at night they will be protecting 5Star gas station on N. Perkins and HWY378.

To be exact, sitting in the casino parkinglot lined up side by side, while the other 5 are in 5 star eating their free food.

This picture is from awhile back, so trust me for those who aren't blessed to live in moss bluff ( :rotfl: ) they still doing this.

Ray 10-21-2011 08:05 PM

It's not every day you get to see somthing this dumb.
The COPS just wanna say they seen it first hand.
They need something to laugh at too... Brightens their
otherwise boring day.

By-Catch 10-21-2011 11:12 PM

Did he catch anything?

adamsfence 10-22-2011 12:46 AM

Hell if I was a cop I would want to see these idiots first hand too. Comic relief

If I had to guess like most of these he probly was asking the insurance company to help make his payments.

sent from my iPhone eating droid

YellowMouth7 10-26-2011 11:00 AM

Jordan 10-26-2011 11:07 AM
