Texas has gone down hill FAST.
Well decided to take a trip over to the Kemah boardwalk and Galveston with the kids this past weekend. We have been working real hard at trying to get our business open in DeQuincy and have neglected the kids somewhat in the process and needed to spend some family time before business opened this past Monday and School started. All in all we had a good time and so did the kids and really thats all that counts. I hadn't been to either place since before RITA and boy was I disappointed BIG TIME. The recovery efforts have been great both places where top notch. But the "CROWD", "HELP", and other "tourists" was a total let down. I felt as if I was in another country completly. Less than a handful of "AMERICANS" the whole trip. Started at the first gas station I stopped at for ICEE's and candy....rag heads...the place looked fine from the outside but stunk of body odor throughout entire store. My 3yo keeped hollering something stinks in here. I just laughed. Got to the hotel felt like I was in Mexico City....MEXICANS everywhere. I have no problem with them being here as long as they can communicate. Check in took 30min. cause he couldnt speak a lick of english. Needed towels next morning none of the maids had a clue what was being said. SO I cooled off from all that and headed to boardwalk. EVERY SINGLE DANG shop had Rag Head of some nationality running it. Never could get my change right when I bought something. It was just horrible to see what Texas has become. All the vendors along the boardwalk where just unclean and unkept. So we had enough of that place and decided to go to Galveston. Cant be that bad there.......WRONG.. Beaches where covered with mexicans and rag heads as well. I than began to look around for americans and keep count. For the rest of the weekend. I counted a total of 26 people that I considered AMEIRCANS in about 36hr trip across the Island and there were hundreds and hundreds of people there. Texas in general has really headed down hill fast. No good people left anymore. THANK GOD we live in louisiana fellas. I will not be heading back across the river south of I-10 anytime soon. It was truly sad and I would be very embarassed if I had to say I was from those areas. Truly turning into a crap hole more and more every day. Be proud your from Gods country people....good ole Louisiana.

you just don't know the right place to go.

We go to texas pretty often..mainly go to houston to shop UGHH..and what he described hit the nail right on the head. |
Like I said, you don't know where to go.
|
I was in Texas a few weeks ago.........I will give them Props on there fast recovery from IKE....aWesome job done down there....
|
So your saying you have to get off the beaten path and go to places that people are not familiar with to be around descent folks.....are all the good folks in Texas hiding from the intruders or what?????? Recovery was fast I guess with that many mexicans around you can get a lot of work done fast and cheap...

I understand excally what your saying. Me, the wife, and the 2 kids went spend 2 weeks there (at 2 seperate times) and my wife got tired of me b1t(hing about the rags and mexicans. And like you said, it would not be bad if they could communicate, but that was out the question. We stayed at the RV camp grounds and they werent that bad, but as soon as we left the camp grounds; Back in mexico... |
i dont know..but i've had some weird times down in texas..one wrong turn going to the garden center in houston....pull up at mcdonalds..here they come runnin asking for money :pissed:

Heck fool even way over in west texas where we hunt its the same way. Rock Springs and Uvalde area was slap eat up with mexican kids begging on the streets. If you had on camo and in a nice truck or pullng your camping set up into town the came with hands out begging. Its a crap hole over there as well. Only halfway good are I have found in Texas is up around Toledo Bend near Hemphill. Hotels and stores ran by rag heads but at least the marina's are still american ran. and good folks on the lake...but then again most of them where from Louisiana. figures

MEXAS>...lol your about right. thats a good one.
|
Texas its a whole other country.LOL. Got news for you boys but them mexicans are taking over. Only reason them mexicans were in Galveston was because ya'll ran outta work for them in New Orleans. you think its just texas try the Carolinas, every textile factory there has its own line of illegals headed there. I think they got a recruiting office in Laredo. Bud of mine from school was in idaho a while back and thought they was native indians until one spoke spanish to him. These SOB's are taking over everywhere they go..sk
|
why do you hunt and vacation here if all you do is b i t c h about it? Don't like it go somewhere else.
last time I was in N.O. I experienced the same thing you did in Kemah. I haven't been back. |
Too Tall like I wrote in my post I havent been to either part of texas since before 2005. So obviously I dont hunt and vacation there on a regular basis. But dont worry lesson learned will not go back. Will def. take kids to New Orleans or somewhere east if we are lookin for a close weekend get away next time with good folks around us. Its just sad at how within only a few years those nice spots in texas have been literally taken over by the trash of our society. But again lesson learned.

I don't have any problems with people of Mexican heritage. Unless they are here illegal.
They are taking jobs from Americans who were born here. Too many companies hire cheap wet backs, and get away with it. Those company officials should have to spend the some jail time, in the same cell that the wet backs do. |

I find it ironic that you would bring in a radical white supremacy group with long ties to Texas as a basis for counterattack. I know a little about the KKK from past employement in law enforcement. As someone who lives in rural La., I know many small business owners from farmers to lawn service guys, to seafood dealers and oystermen that have no choice but to hire hispanic workers. The lower class work for minimal pay which was once done by undereducated Americans, is now done by undereducated Mexicans. Thats because the undereducated Americans are getting a free ride and do not have to work the fields, or cut the lawns, or clean the rooms, or peel the crawfish. In the past, people both black & white, living in low income housing were sent to the local employment offices to get a job. Now, they only walk to their mailbox to get a check in housing our taxes pay for. This is not a issue between Texas and LA, it is an issue that is ruining the United States. Our government has failed us, and once again, we are fighting between ourselves!:pissed::pissed: |

Yep Ray thats what it looks like outside our office on hwy 59 coming from Laredo. each group you see on that camera will probably be put into a vehicle and headed north.
Last year we watched two LEO fficers chase an extended cab z71 into our drive way and we counted 19 people jump outta the truck and run. They just kept comin outta that truck. The LEO didn't know which one chase so they didn't catch any. Those guys was packed into that truck, and you know they all had beans for lunch:eek::eek::eek:::SK |
the way things are going here let them all come over and send me to mexico.
|
Flounder.... Mexico aint a bad trip....been there fishing. More english speaking folks there than in south texas. Very enjoyable and plenty of hopitality to go around. Cant say a bad thing about it. The border towns are the worse thing about Mexico the rest of the country is a wondeful site to see.
|
I just stay north of I10 so I don't deal with any of that. Ain't found nothing good south of I10. Trent, I thought I taught you better than to play with them wet backs. If I could move this platform north, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Did ya'll get opened this past week? Everything going ok I hope?
|
Yea we open with 42 screaming kids. lol Everything is going good so far. Erika is tired as heck but thats expected she has been up there from 6 to 6 all week but after she gets a handle on everything it will get better for her.
|
Why you working nights again this week? You seeing some teal in the cove behind you?
|
yea we got about 200 flying around in this bay right at dusk dark. Not sure where they roosting yet. our little cubby hole is empty right now but in a couple more weeks itll be packed for the winter. This is my regular week of nights. I swapped with danny last week so i could be at the day care for the state inspections during the day.
|
OK cool. Then you get to catch the pig next week. I know how you love that. LOL
|
I hope not... let them other boys chase the pig.
|
I wish. Looks like we'll be doing it next hitch.
Hey, PG just caught a speck 2' 3". Him and Todd are fishing over at 'A'. |
Dang thats gotta be a 8 pounder tell him to take a picture and send it to me....make sure its before dark so we can see pg3 in the pic. LOL
|
Waiting for the picture now. They was still down on the boat landing. They been tearing them up over there the last few hitches. I'll post it when I get it.
|

yea cat daddy texans like too tall are real quick to try and make someone else look bad just to try and make the truth about whats happened to mexas look better in there eyes. Dont throw rocks.........
|
I'd be real curious, what ya'll would be saying if somone posted something like this about LA.
The same thing is happening over there just not as noticeable I stopped at Several Convenience stores and such on my way to Mississippi. Why is it not so noticeable. Well,. maybe it has something to do with the fact that there are more people withing a 20 mile radius of Houston, the there are in the whole State of Louisiana. |

Guys, this trend is sweeping through the US! I was in Indianapolis a couple of years ago and came across a large section of town where even the billboards were in spanish! I would have never thought!
Apparently, around here, the mexicans think that because the town's name is Gonzales that this must be a haven for their people. There has been a huge influx of them since Katrina! Also, there is a major plant expansion nearby that is bringing in even more of them. It's not just Houston/Galveston, it's everywhere! |
I agree 151. our homey depot has spanish on the PA system more often than english now. but when the billboards start advertising in spanish that means the advertisers know there are enough meskins around they can make money catering to them. They're everywhere and spreading fast....SK
