Fun on Toledo
 

Got out on Toledo today w/ my father-in-law and his buddy and put 29 in the boat (all released) and had 11 get off (largest around 3.5lbs). We fished Indian Mounds today and the water/weather was Awesome! Got out there at noon and out at 5:30. Water temp at noon was 79 warming to 85. Fish were caught on outside edge of grassline in 7-18 ft of water. Caught on 1/8 oz texas rigged watermelon candy flukes, weightless sinkos, and dd12's. All about the 4 B's: Buds fishing, Bass, BBQ, & Beer!;)

Just out of curiosity what does a trip like that cost? I've thought about trying to get weewacker to take a trip like that.

2000.00 plus lodging for 6 people. About 400.00 for a party of 6 or 475.00 for a party of 5.

I have them both scheduled on our days off.

Suppose to be a group of guys from school. We going to falcon in spring hopefully.

we went last summer and had a good time but may go to Choke Canyon this yr

Had a buddy go last summer to choke, said it was stupid the #s they caught

Me and DC vote for Amistad or Falcon, chicken.:grinpimp:

he said he wants to go back there but he wouldn't mind goin to Choke to try it this yr

had some bud's run out to falcon the past 2 years and they put up mammoth size and numbers....biggest was 11.7...several between 9&10lbs (seen the pics) They said when they'd get a 5lbr in the boat they'd just kick it off the side..lol

we got there just after a front last yr and it was really tuff fishing plus a lot of wind but we did manage to get decent fish and numbers

But somebody is scared and don't want to go back.:rolleyes:

I ain't scared, but I ain't stupid either besides that I do want to fish Choke and if we do what me and DC started we will try somthin diff this yr

Wah wah wah. I just want to go fishing somewhere. I would take Amistad over Falcon but I understand the part of going somewhere you haven't been.

Amistad is way prettier and still very good fishing

I remember that from when my dad was out there. I won something from it. Don't even remember now

yea he got a good one and as normal fishin close to a launch

I knew he should of stayed there longer!!
