Well I'd like the answer to this question if anyone has it. I'll be huntin a few minutes from the beach and I haven't had a chance to scout out my property so if I don't have ducks I'd like to try to catch some fish if it's worth bringing the extra gear.

This weekend should be great on the beach. Should be a Blast and Cast weekend as long as the wind stays out of the North!

And I didn't bring a pole. It was one of those spend the day with the wife kind of deals....but it was nice. And finished up the day at Darrell's with a few brews and one of those messy sandwiches. : )

And the water was green as far out as I could see. I had to go put my feet in it and walk around for a while.

Hope the weather holds up until next weekend, going camping down there. Had that planned for last hitch off but TS Lee had other ideas. Kiddos wanted to try out crabbing, should make for a fun time.

What yall think about the beaches sometime this weekend - Friday? Looks like there will be a little cool front rolling through sometime Thurs. night and winds are shifting to the NE. Will it be enough to settle the waters down from the S winds we have gotten lately?

i fish there alot man. you wont know until you go. the basic rule of thumb is not to go when the south winds are pounding in . i fished light south winds on the beach and caught just enough to keep me there. north winds are ideal but its holly beach not key west florida. i use pearl white gulp pogey and live bait(shad mullet, cracked crab). i fish the live bait under a cork to allow it to sit in the strike zone a little longer and to make sure i work each breaker thourghly. people will tell you to wait for that perfect day but you will never fish down there if you do. this is just my observations from fishing down there alot, hope it helps bud.

Beach Question

Anyone been to the beach or jetties in the last couple of days? Wondering if the water has cleared and salted up yet. Would like to get down to the rocks west of Holly Beach and spend the day there. Any information would be most appreciated.
