Pistol Suggestion?
Might be in the market soon for a new (to me) pistol. Any suggestions? Used price range around $300-$500. Considering 9mm another 40 or maybe even a 45.

|
1911s are iconic guns. Will hopefully own one today.

Look at the Smith & Wesson M&P's, I have a 9mm & enjoy shooting this one the most.
|
I like the M&Ps. A buddy of mine in the Marine Corps has one. I put a laser site on it for him. I'd rather something without a external safety like the Glocks or the M&P with no safety. I have the Sigma and the trigger is really rough. If I went Glock, I could buy my cousins old duty weapon from him.
|
Mine has no safety on it.
|
You could get a 40 in the M&P, then go to Storm Lake Barrels & get the 9mm conversion kit & 9mm mags, then you can use it either way.

xdm springfield or glock

Take it from experience save a few more dollars and buy a 1911 45 and be done u won't regret it
|
Glock 30 small.easy to use. .light recoil..and 9 rounds in the magazine and a .45 in the chanber. Price is around five tho
|
I would like anything with a 4" barrel or a little bigger. Also would like the mag to hold at least 10 rounds. I'm looking at a Glock 22 or a Glock 23 right now.
|
Academy had the S&W M&P 9 or 40 for $279
|
What? No revolvers???? Man, I would love to get my hands on a Ruger .45LC revolver. That thing would be a beast with +P Hot loads.

yes there are some out there for that price............but when you add the shipping FFL fee tax(maybe) and extra mag and holster, it's a few bones in savings.

Get a Judge ...... My great uncle had one and one time we went looking for his lost dawg and we couldn't find it in the first 10 minutes so he was like you want to just kill some deer since we out here and I was like yeh so we walking threw the woods and saw a 73 point whitetail buck drinking from a pond and he posted up on a tree and POW dropped that sucker from 180 yards and the bullet bounced around the deer and came out his neck and hit a catfish in the pond that had a big ol bull frog in his mouth all this with a 4-10 slug!! We had venison, fish, and frog legs for supper what a day
True..............ish story!! |

Thats sweet lookin wheel gun. I have a dan wesson 7.5" 45Lc, but the wife and i both carry a s&w 357.

X2 on learning gun control.
I have been to the range and watched guys shoot. Out of the hundred or so times I have only met a hand full if people that were there learning their gun and how to control the shot, meaning how it shoots in their hands. I don't care if you can put a couple dozen rounds down range in 6 seconds. It's what can you do with each round that counts. |

I want to ask them if they will have that $ 200 gun rest in the stand when they take the shot? Practice shooting how you are going to shoot in the woods. |
