New Moss Bluff Restaurant
For those of you who live in the Moss Bluff area what type restaurant would you like to see come to town. All we have are fast food restaurants and a half-arsed catfish place. Faustos gets real old, real quick. Tired of popeyes, micky d's, wendys, Burger king and checkers. I like Fiesta tamale -- real fresh mexican food.
So, what's ya'lls opinion? |
I wouldn't mind a Chick-Fil-A or Arby's up in the Bluff..
Were about to get a new joint where Mr. Bills was. It will be Southern Spice |
I'm tired of fast food too. My favorite right now is Italian but you can't go wrong with a good Chicken Chimichanga.
Mr Bill's is now next to 5 Star on 171.

The owners of Mr. Bills and the sign says moving to the Pink Pig on 171 in North Lake Charles... It'll be called Mr. Bills express or something like that. Southern Spice is open already.. Just found out. |
Yeah, are where Harry's was. There is a vinyl sign by the road with Mr Bill's on it. They have to get the gaming license moved over into their name before they can change the sign on the restaurant.
Guess they will have the restaurant and the express.
I'd like to see a Saltgrass Steak House somewhere in SW Louisiana. There's one in Beaumont now.
probably wont be a major steakhouse or chain restaurant (non-fast food) due to the low population. Will have to be a smaller franchise like a gattis, fox's pizza or something along those lines.
What about an italian rest with pizza, pasta, sandwiches, subs, etc? |

Thought old Pink Pig was gona be Steamboat Bills? I thought that the Chuck Wagon BBQ place was good, Taco Bell is in the works at old Video Attraction, good Chines would be good and I mean good not that gut rot we have. Problem with the Bluff ao far and its changein but not enuff daytime people out there to eat so you have to get a nite crowd but hey people go to DI's Seafood in Eunice and we use to go to Iowa to eat Bigg Daddys.
Hooters would be nice!!!!!!!
still researching the ice machine. Not sure about the huge cost to profit thing yet though.
from a small town perspcetive...I don't know how but Casa Ole kills every mexican restraunt that tries to open up in Sulphur...I mean that place is always packed in the evenings...kids love tex mex and I like margaritas...kids baseball teams, softball teams are always there during the summer with all the tourneys in Sulphur. Casa has been around awhile so it must be working...cheap food, but it gets the job done. Especially since we have such fine taste buds in Sulphur :shaking:
yea i heard pink pig is becoming Steamboat bill's........... an italian rest would be nice!!!! Open up a daiquiri place..... the nearest one is sulphur or LC
Faustos is filthy! Cannot believe people eat in there sheet hole. Dey building dat big fancy place out on the river east of MB like where the old nursing home used to be. Sucka is huge and gonna be on the water. It gonna draw the whole goos ferry road crowd.

First thing is beating out old money iin the Bluff and after you do this then there is a secret that some places have learned. You take a place like DI's or Bigg Daddys or Shuck's or any other restraunt that makes it in the middle of no where and there is a secret in there some where and its not only good food or service its a mix of things.
I think a hooters, ****s or a dave and busters would do good in moss bluff or lake charles

I think the park will be from the boat launch area to the west to the bend in the river.
I don't know if it includes the land [house] up by the road. The listing for that house included about 6 acres of land. About a year ago, the land behind the house was partically cleared, but it has grown up some now. |
