First wade trip of the year ;-)
 

Went wadeing Sat near Holly beach and found a few hungry trout. The wind was slack and we got most of our fish on top. I didnt have a net so we lost a efw but we ended the day with 8 trout in the box and one that went 4 1/2 lbs. I will eb back at it next weekend....hope this nice weather holds up.

Nice! If nothing gets in my way I will be out there next weekend as well. What were you catching them on? Were you fishing near the rocks?

How was the water down there?

water was margenal....bad on beach...ok in channel......all fish on spooks and tsunamis......missed a ton of fish just slapping at my spook.

Cmon man you gonna leave me out of your report ?!? i contributed 4 to the " lost because of no net" category and 1 to the box. im hurt

What colors you using?

didnt try the ole catch 2000? you got me hooked on that bait esp while fishing the beach.

no catch 2000 Nick sorry.....that spook was foxy shad and the swimbaits were in a mullet and croaker color

Hey, sure your better at it than I am. Just started fishing the beach last summer. Any pointers?

Look for nice water and tidal movenment.....Most important thing to me is never give up...the water out there could be muddy one min and green the next with a slight shift in wind and tide.
