Swimps in Big Lake
 

Caught a bucket of real nice white shrimp by T-Boys weirs today.
If'n I knowed how to throw a dang cast net, I could have kicked butt.
I was surprised at how big they are right now.

The other boat there kicked butt. They musta been throwin a 10 ft. net.
I did good enuff. Brought home enuff to fill 4 quart containers of peeled shrimp.
Ate some today for lunch.

Soaked in Lud's Sauce over night, grilled for about 5 minutes.
They came out perfect. Spicey, tender and juicey.

i bet they were, where can i get one of those skillet with all the holes in it?

My wife gave me that about 10 years ago.
I got that one and a square one for fish.

What is Lud's sauce? What the point of the skillet with the holes?

Never mind, I see the skillet is for grilling. I get it now...need to get me one of those.

Still need to know about Lud's though.

Lud's is a basting sauce, injecting sauce, marinade sauce.
It was originally made in Hackberry, La.
Rita drove them to Sulphur, then to Oberlin.
I can only find it at Browns Grocery in Hackberry and Grand Lake.
Market Basket did sell it at one time, but quit.
HR&G sells it off their website too.
