well fool, i know it makes me sound like a sore looser, but i really go out kayak fishing to see the outdoors and relax, if i catch great, if i dont great, i saw much today that just relaxed me.

but made me anxious for duck season, man the squeelers and wood ducks are thick in there

yep woodies and squealers are thick all up in there..cant hunt it though from what i understand due to city limits.

what did you think of the marsh (i know you work with plants so is it looking "healthy")

next time im bringing my pirguoe

yak'em-n-stack'em 08-01-2009 10:04 PM

i said something in the other thread, the marsh looks good, you can just tell its young, no vegetation in the water, the plants on the outsides werent typical salt/brackish marsh plants,(this could be the proximity to a supply of freshwater) but it is looking good. Def a young marsh. Sounds weird, but the smell of the mud was interesting. The mud smelled very "clean" and im using clean loosely, it didnt have the rotten egg smell from the Sulfur that comes from decomposing plants. But i can see that place holding some good reds this winter

My wife and I met fool at the Academy in Lake Charles yesterday. Of course, he was picking over the Sand eels. My wife said he was so cute and polite she wanted to take him home with us! Fool we are all proud of you. Any idea what you want to do when you get older? You planning on being a guide?

yak em i seen somebody fishing out a kayak couple days ago (just rembered) their's was LOADED..from what i could see, one HUGE depth finder, some stake/pole thing in the back, foot pedals?, couple other things..is that usual for a 'yak or just one of those high dolla ones????..the depth finder was like the ones on bass boats..

they was fishin the same area i referred you to. but he didn't look like he knew what he was doing?? pedaled thru a group of birds...

go to school use your brain not your back!! or learn spanish and use your brain but have others using thier back for you!!:grinpimp:

yak'em-n-stack'em 08-24-2009 08:53 PM

yea thats becoming more common, i have a stake out pole, getting a depth finder once i get my new yak.

its just things that you find you need from being out there a lot

but if the kayak had foot peddles that was probably a hobie, the dream of all yaks lol

running around 2000 dollars
