I have seen the pictures and she is a toad. She weighed 9.6 lbs and that is a giant on the Cal. River!! The guy that caught her also had a 4+ he caught just prior to catching the monster.

I went and fished out of White Oak last Saturday. I had two fish over five and one right at 3. They were moving up to spawn I believe. It was cloudy most of the day so the water didn't warm up over 61 degrees. I released them back to have those babies. It was my best stringer on the river as far as pounds go. They were lovin the Kandi!!! Looking forward to fishing the pool. Maybe this rain today will help put a couple inches in it.

Doesn't look like a rivr fish to me. Even though it is a Florida strain. I have seen a few Florida strain on the river and they look alot different than those.

Well, it's a big mouth bass and it was caught in the river no matter what it looks like.

Lacassine's dogfights don't allow anglers to place fish that have been in a livewell, back in the Pool, so they release the fish into the river. Highly unlikely this fish is a Native to the river, def. a lacassine fish, placed into the river
