White Lurches 12-18/19

Ran to the Bend last weekend to drown some shiners and try our luck with the perch. we had a good time, as the action was fast enough to keep us from fishing more than one rod at a time for most of the trip. the water is getting right as the temps continue to drop. the water temp was 53* both mornings with air temps below freezing most of the morning. we're fishing deep, about 30'. the shad are abundant and the perch are gorging on them. here's a few pics.. that bird potlicked us both days! :rotfl:

its called a 'cedar's bill dance porcupine ball'. they used to be sold at cabela's and bass pro 3 for $30, but after a quick search the only place i see them is on amazon. still 3 balls for $30. no pvc piping included.
i've also heard of people hanging them under their floating docks and that suspending them works almost as well as sinking them. |
Yeah, I have 3 or 4 under my boat dock to go along with a few Christmas trees. Only problem, I only have around 18" of water!
