My Truck and Boat, and some fish from 11/8/10 Trip

Well this is my setup if anyone on here ever see's me around town, on the water, or at the launch, feel free to introduce yourself!
I normally launch at Lafleur Park under 210 but I think im going to start launching at Calc. Point, given that i always end up in Turners by the end of the day.
07 GMC Sierra and 09 Blu Wave

My Ol Lady wanted to drive, i was nervous, im teaching her how to back the trailer up for me also lol its interesting but she does a good job.

We ended up with A bundle of specks and 3 flounder thought about taking a pic after i started cleaning the fish. Caught everything on Live Shrimp and glow/chart cocahoes in Turners Bay, and picked up 2 specks late afternoon in Prien Lake.

Nice job man!! thanks for da report!!!!

goldenrod 11-11-2010 10:23 AM

Good job, it was alot easier teaching my wife to drive the boat on to the trailer than having her back the trailer in...

SaltyShaw 11-11-2010 10:55 AM

haha thats not a bad idea i may have to just do that

fishinpox 11-11-2010 11:43 AM

congrats on the new rig. i could never get my ex wife to back up or drive my truck with the boat behind it...the new gf can do all dat stuff it makes it alot easier at the boat launch

LaAngler 11-11-2010 12:01 PM

Woodduck Commander 11-11-2010 12:42 PM

SaltyShaw 11-11-2010 12:43 PM

Oh yeh the Salt Life is great, had the boat for 5 days and stayed out fishing for 3 of those days, i love it!
Haha yeh a buddy of mine had made some for yall a long time ago out of lake arthur and he was doin my numbers on the boat and he had the salty cajun logo still on file so i got em to print me a few

LaAngler 11-11-2010 12:58 PM

Good catch, great pictures.
My wife can put the boat on the trailer.
She cannot drive my truck at all.

2ndamendment 11-11-2010 02:49 PM

Nice set-up you have there SaltyShaw. Salty water is addicting. Now, if you have not done so, take your wife and go break that boat in.:smokin: :grinpimp:

SaltyShaw 11-11-2010 02:54 PM

Gottogo49 11-11-2010 03:48 PM

Nice rig, can that woman cook? She can drive a boat and she can fish, set the hook, boy, she looks like a keeper. HaHaHa!

SaltyShaw 11-11-2010 03:55 PM

oh yeh she can throw down some food she making me gain some weight haha she definately a keeper!

RickyH 11-11-2010 06:23 PM

Very nice truck and boat, and its always great when you can find one that likes to fish with you. Sounds like a winner to me.

That is a nice set up. My wife gets pissed when grown men take up whole ramp when it is a two stall. She backs around them and puts it on the corrrect side. Most people at landing compliment her about her backing LOL. This all started with her dad though, cant take credit. I posted a few pics of this past weekend deer hunt with her.

shellman 11-11-2010 07:59 PM

Nice job bro...

SaltyShaw 11-11-2010 08:01 PM

That's awesome, I'm gonna get mine good and trained up she will be backing up like me before to long, that's not exactly to good haha

Nice deer!! Haven't killed a deer since I was 15 I'm kinda getting the itch again, just lost interest....

Montauk17 11-11-2010 09:52 PM

Nice rig....how much drop do you have on your truck?

Dink 11-11-2010 10:33 PM

Ok....everyone else is being nice about it......truck is cool and all, but we wanna see more pics of the misses!!!!

yak'em-n-stack'em 11-11-2010 11:57 PM

Lmao at dink.

Looks like a 4/6 or 6/8

ScubaLatt 11-11-2010 11:58 PM

your old lady doesn't look too old!:work:

SaltyShaw 11-12-2010 07:33 AM

Mantauk its a 4/7 drop had to get helper bags in the back, and it rides like arse!

Dink lol let me see what i can dig up

Ray 11-12-2010 09:35 AM

Nice looking girl.

I tried to post my truck on time and Jeff banned me. Said no old ugly Fords like mine.

SaltyShaw 11-12-2010 10:50 AM

haha cant blame him there just kiddin

Montauk17 11-12-2010 12:07 PM

My podna has a silverado like yours with a 3/5 drop and it rides very good for a dropped truck.

SaltyShaw 11-12-2010 12:55 PM

yeh once you do a flip kit it goes to poo . . . . i wish i would have just did a 3/5 now

jldsc 11-12-2010 05:26 PM

Ive installed dozens of drop kits with a flip in the rear...never had one ride any different than factory..something must be up with it?? I had an '02 chevy that I dropped and drove it for a couple years with no change in the ride I also had helper bags and pulled my boats 4wheelers no issues

Jordan 11-12-2010 05:34 PM

had a buddy with a 7/9 drop on his f150, had on the back glass----no bags, no switches, no fat b*tches

SaltyShaw 11-12-2010 06:21 PM

I have some crazy wheel hop issues and from others I have talked it's something to do with the NNBS suspension, I really just need some stiffer shocks the McGaughy drop shocks are poo

jldsc 11-12-2010 07:31 PM

try the beltech nitro drops, some of those drop manufacturers contract out there shocks from companies like procomp for djm drops...I havent had anyone complain about the nitro's

Montauk17 11-12-2010 07:41 PM

Belltech nitros are nice....I have Bilstein shocks on mine and it rides great, but I only have a 2" drop.

SaltyShaw 11-12-2010 08:54 PM

Yeh I have been looking into some bilsteins and or fabbing up another set of shock tabs and running a duel shock setup

yak'em-n-stack'em 11-12-2010 11:38 PM

Tell your gf to bring me a friend when I take you yakking

SaltyShaw 11-13-2010 06:55 AM

haha ill see what i can do
