new truck tires
anybody on here ever had toyo open country mud grips on your truck? fixin to need some more and wantin to get some feedback as far as mileage ican expect thanks
Never had em but I think they are definitely the best looking!
nitto mud grapplers or buckshots are the best choices never really messed with the toyo ones but my bud did have some of the all-terains and they didnt last long at all maybe 40k and then he had to but new ones
had some mickey thompson baja mtzs and they were the longest lasting aggressive tire i've had to date, very little noise or vibration & look sharp...although i will be putting the toyo's on in the next month (have heard they are a little soft though)
Had some on my sons Z71. Didn't like em much. Wore down pretty quick.
30-40k is all you are gonna get out of them, know some friends that had them. Good looking tire though!
I had some I put close to 50k on mine and still had a Lil life left in them when I took them off. Very quite tires.. Had the grapplers to ... You couldn't give me a new set of them ...
Did you rotate them often?
Yeap that the life of em
What about some all terrain tires like **** Cepek or Toyo?
I am going to put a set on Friday
I like those **** Cepeks and some of the Mickey Thompsons
Most of the more aggressive mud tires don't last as long as street tires.
Really aggressive tires are lucky to get 40K miles on them. If you get more, then you did good. |

A buddy of mine and myself both have BFG Mud-Terrain KM2s. I got about 35k on mine right now and still in great shape. My buddy has over 60k on his. They dont have much grip left but are still in good shape. For an aggressive tire, I dont think any others will hold up like these. They ride very smooth and are quiet. Specksndasurf has Firestone Destinations, I like those too. They are a good looking tire and he prob has over 50k on them as well. And he never rotates them! lol Not much price difference in the 2 but BFGs ride a little better.
I have them on mine and they have about 20 thousand on them and they still look good
I have just about ran them all and the Mickey Thompson MTZ's have been the best for me. All around tire for mud and road.
How is the road noise on those
